Editorial Guidelines
Our standards
All content on Method Indie is original work. We do not republish press releases, aggregate wiki content, or rewrite other outlets. Every guide, build, and review is based on firsthand playtime. We do not accept payment to alter coverage, and sponsored or gifted copies are disclosed in the relevant article.
Review scoring
Reviews are scored on a 0–10 scale in whole numbers. The scale is not a percentage — a 5 is a game worth playing with notable flaws, not a failure. Scores reflect the overall experience at the time of review on the platform tested.
- 9–10 — essential; standout of its genre or year
- 7–8 — recommended; strong with minor shortcomings
- 5–6 — mixed; worthwhile for a specific audience
- 3–4 — below average; significant problems
- 0–2 — not recommended
Corrections
If we publish something incorrect, we correct it. Minor factual errors are fixed inline with a note at the bottom of the article stating what changed and when. Significant errors receive a more prominent correction notice. We do not silently delete or rewrite content to hide mistakes.
