Aion 2 is cracking down on cheaters.

Aion 2 devs have revealed in a recent announcement via Steam that they have taken action against players using different methods of cheating. A whopping 4,996 accounts have been restricted for alleged botting, gold farming, real-money trading (RMT), and other violations of the game's Operation Policy.

Almost 5,000 Accounts Restricted in AION 2's Latest Anti-Cheating Action

As of October 11, 2026, the Aion 2 team has taken action on almost 5000 player accounts in an ongoing effort to maintain a fair player environment. These restrictions have successfully targeted accounts that have been allegedly involved in activities that violate the rules of the game.

This misconduct spans multiple areas according to the announcement, with an internal review being carried out before any final actions were taken against individual accounts. The types of anti-policy behaviors included in these penalties involve the use of bots, macros, and unauthorized programs.

In addition to this, the team has also identified and taken action against abnormal trading activities such as gold farming and real-money trading that affect the in-game economy.

Rest assured, developers have clearly stated that legitimate players will not be affected by the actions taken. Normal gameplay and genuinely farming materials and resources via in-game grinding are not considered a violation in Aion 2.

The devs have stated that when it comes to this matter, these accounts will only be restricted following a manual review.

At the same time, the team has also addressed the unrelated temporary security lock issue that some players have been facing since launch. These locks are applied to an account when a potential security risk is identified, protecting users against scenarios where their accounts can be compromised.

While some players have found frustration with these security locks, according to the devs, they have been designed to protect player accounts while an investigation occurs.

Players can contact Customer Support services to restore access to their accounts, and anyone who feels that their account has been incorrectly locked or restricted in any way will be able to submit a ticket for review. These requests can be made directly through the Aion 2 Customer Support portal.
