Aniimo: How to Find the Alpha Shelly Egg
Who wouldn't want to roll around as a large Shelly?!
While acquiring Aniimo can be achieved through traditional means by equipping Aniipods and exploring the regions, or catching wild Aniimo we see along the way, there are other opportunities for Pathfinders to acquire these creatures, too.
Pathfinders can get Aniimo for free from seasonal and limited-time events, but also from eggs found in the open world. In fact, there are a handful of Alpha Eggs to be found, which, when using a Sparkling Aniipod to hatch them, can get a free Sparkling Alpha Aniimo, so here's how to find the Alpha Shelly Egg in Aniimo!
How to Find the Alpha Shelly Egg in Aniimo
As mentioned previously, yes, there are ways that Pathfinders can acquire an Aniimo very easily in Aniimo, and getting an Alpha Aniimo for free will require doing some exploration.
These come in the form of Alpha Eggs that are scattered across Idyll; however, the Aniimo contained within these eggs aren't RNG, as they appear to be regional Aniimo that can be obtained once these eggs are hatched.
Do keep in mind that this Alpha Egg is a one-time egg, so once claimed, it won't respawn again in the open world. Lastly, another way Pathfinders can get the Alpha Shelly Egg is by completing a side questline, "Stars and the Knight," and defeating the Alpha Sherro to be awarded the egg.
Shelly is a Water elemental DPS Aniimo that can be discovered in the open world in its Lumin stage when exploring the Echoback Landing area, but an Alpha variant can be obtained very early in-game.
There's an Alpha Shelly Egg that can be found in this region, and to reach it, Pathfinders must first activate the main teleport in the region and then locate the Alpha Panpanta boss arena.
From the Alpha Panpanta boss arena, use any Water elemental Aniimo and travel in a northern direction to reach an island to activate the Rushing Rapids Sanctum.
A little northwest of the sanctum's location are twin large pink-colored rock pillars, where using a Water elemental Aniimo to reach before climbing is where a nest with the Alpha Shelly Egg can be found.
As for hatching, Pathfinders can place the egg inside the Hatchinator, which can be accessed at the Outpost near Dr. Lewis or on their Homeland once they've found Fannie and completed the initial quest to unlock the Homeland system.
It will take some time for the Alpha Egg to hatch, so in the meantime, Pathfinders can complete their Daily Activities, explore the map, challenge Alpha bosses, socialize with other players, or progress with the main story before returning to the Hatchinator and using a Sparkling Aniipod to hatch the egg to get a free Sparkling Alpha Shelly!
