Moonlight Peaks Patch 1.1.41 Adds Major Fixes & Quality-of-Life Changes

The town full of supernatural beings keeps getting better and better!

Updated 4 min read

Moonlight Peaks made a great debut in the cozy gaming scene, with upwards of 1000 reviews on Steam since its 7th July release, resulting in a 'very positive' overall score. In this charming farming sim, players take the role of a vampire who arrives in a nocturnal town crawling with supernatural townsfolk including other vampires, werewolves, witches, seers, and more. Players build and expand their farm, complete quests, and romance townsfolk. Now, the developers have begun to fine-tune the game with a range of significant bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

These improvements arrived in patch 1.1.41, which went live on July 16, 2026. As the first significant post-launch update, it irons out many of the most frustrating bugs and issues players have encountered while also introducing several notable gameplay improvements. We've rounded up everything included in the update below, along with what players think of these changes so far.

All Fixes & Changes in Moonlight Peaks Patch 1.1.41

While ongoing investigation is continuing to fix other major gameplay issues, the 1.1.41 Moonlight Peaks patch focuses on ironing out certain character interactions, stamina issues, storage problems, and ensuring in-game events run smoothly. Here is a complete summary of these changes, as detailed in the official patch notes breakdown:

  • Improved loading times for all scenes.
  • House Storage is now available from the entire plot, including barns and greenhouses.
  • Items can now be transferred from and to House Storage using Quick Transfer.
  • Embroidery now unlocks sooner.
    • This allows NPCs that go on Embroidery dates to be asked on a date sooner.
  • Tree seeds now show the seasons their produce grows, instead of the seasons the tree itself grows.
  • Added more Vampire Sketches from Brook.
  • Fixed the Net using energy on missed swings.
  • Fixed getting stuck in the Loveage Gift Exchange dialogue.
  • Fixed getting stuck after gifting Seaweed to anyone.
  • Fixed issue where beehives on plot caused performance issues when inside a building.
  • Fixed issue where Kim’s first Heart Event could cause time to pause until restarting.
  • Fixed issue where save files went missing. Those missing save files are restored.
    • This fix does not apply to save files becoming corrupt by closing the game while saving.
  • Fixed issue where some crops and trees did not grow to maturity.
  • Fixed not receiving a Nokturna card reward when exiting after inspecting the board on match end.
  • Fixed the Crow Introduction, Dead Crops, and Keg cutscenes causing other cutscenes on plot not to trigger.
    • E.g. Death handing over the Antique Clock and some NPC Heart Events.
  • Fixed issue where ingredients with no quality stay in inventory when crafting higher tier items.
  • Fixed issue where higher quality items placed in decorate mode would not be removed from inventory
  • Fixed Orlock being hard to interact with while sitting on a bench.
  • Fixed Moonlight Ball crowning ceremony taking too long to start.
  • Fixed Aras heart event showing sparkles on the tailor shop instead of town.
  • Fixed not being able to dig up Dig Spots near shore as Hellkitten.
  • Fixed issue where some NPCs stopped responding to gifts.
  • Fixed getting stuck when picking specific flowers in Pink Grove.
  • Fixed issue where upgrading the house can cause contents of Storage Crates to get lost.
  • Fixed issue where upgrading the house can cause decorations to lose their quality.
  • Fixed Steam Deck controls defaulting back to keyboard/mouse instead of controller.
  • Fixed issue that caused not being able to interact with anything on gamepad.
    • The underlying issue was that the cursor, hidden because the gamepad was targeted, was hovering over UI elements.
  • Fixed not being able to bind multiple actions to the same input.

What Do Players Think of These Changes?

The Moonlight Peaks community has been quick to add to discussions on these patch notes, praising the devs for their continued polish of the game and effort resolving frustrating issues and gameplay obstacles.

"Yes! These fixes solve most of my QoL pains. I'm so happy."
"QoL changes based on player feedback shows great respect for the players. Kudos."
Thank you so much! Love this game but there was definitely a lot of QoL issues. Hope you guys continue to polish this gem!"
Thank you, devs, for addressing these so quickly!"

On the other hand, Moonlight Peaks certainly still has a few bumps in the road to be worked on, with others commenting and discussing these issues with one another. Notable mentions include laggy cutscenes, controller recognition errors for some players on the main menu screen, vanishing residents, missing purchasable animals from Luna's place, clipping through the ground when colliding with certain terrains or obstacles (such as cliffs and ramps), resources taking much longer than expected to respawn, and more.

There have also been more suggestions for new content and further gameplay improvements, including more storage options, an in-game minimap, adding expected grow times/seasonal information to seed overview in shop and inventory, and a few more notable ideas circulating the community.

If one thing is clear, it's that Moonlight Peaks devs care deeply for their game and improving the experience for their community. I'm sure there will be plenty more follow patches including further gameplay refinements and additional bug fixes in the near future, perhaps even with the opportunity for new content to arrive much further down the line. Until then, all we can do is wait and see. Enjoy growing your farms and befriending the townsfolk, vampires!
