Aniimo: All Weather Types, Explained & How to Change Weather

Changing or controlling the weather in Aniimo is a great way to get rarer Aniimo to appear. Every region in the Breezy Plains has at least one Aniimo that will not spawn without a specific weather condition being met. To understand how to summon these Aniimo, you need to understand how weather works in the game.

All Weather Types in Aniimo

Weather in Aniimo isn't just aesthetically pleasing. Some Aniimo Forms can only spawn under specific weather conditions, so if you want to find all of the variations, you'll need to visit each region during its different weather events.

There are five types of weather that you'll come across in Aniimo:

1. Sunny: No special effect; all Aniimo not controlled by the weather will be available.
2. Rainy: Summons Aniimo that only appear when it rains.
3. Thunderstorm: Summons Aniimo that only appear when there's a storm.
4. Snowy: Summons Aniimo that only appear when it snows.
5. Prismana Flow: Summons a Prismana Aniimo.

How to Check the Forecast in Aniimo

To check the weather at any time in Aniimo, open the map and look at each region. Each region has its own forecast, though you'll find many are sunny at the same time, and only one or two have different weather.

Select a region and click on the weather symbol under the Aniimo face on the pop-up menu that shows the Aniimo in that region. The weather tab will show:

1. Any special weather Aniimo that has spawned in the area.
2. The current forecast.
3. The forecast for the next 24 hours.

How to Unlock Weather Control in Aniimo

To be able to control the weather in Aniimo, players must accomplish two objectives:

1. Infuse the Nurture Bloom with 60 Lumin Amber.
2. Catch 70% of the Aniimo in any given region (the Silver Badge).

You will only be able to change the weather for the region in which you've achieved the Silver Badge (or above). This means that while you could control the weather in Nimbus Fields and Sea of Flowers if you've reached the Silver Aniimo Collection Progress Badge, if you've only reached Bronze in Forest of Falling Stars, you can't change the weather there.

Changing the Weather isn't always free, either. To force a Prismana Flow in a region, you need to use 1x Prismana Crystal each time.

How to Get Prismana Crystals in Aniimo

Prismana Crystals can only be obtained as a reward from infusing the Breezy Plains Branch with enough Lumin Amber.

Prismana Crystals are a finite resource. Given that there's only one Nurture Branch at the moment, and that you don't get Prismana Crystals as a reward for each major Branch milestone, be conservative about when you spend your Prismana Crystals to cause a Flow.

Unless you need to force a Prismana Flow to get a time-limited Prismana Aniimo from an event, I'd avoid using Prismana Crystals.

Why Can't I Change the Weather in Aniimo?

Provided that you've completed the prerequisites needed to unlock the "Change Weather" option at the Breezy Plains Branch, you should be able to manually cause a Prismatic Flow.

However, that's all you'll be able to do right now. All Aniimo players should be aware that most of the weather-changing options in Aniimo are currently locked. At the time of writing, players cannot use three out of four of the weather control options in the game (snow, rain, sun).
