Aniimo: How to Get Tromber (All Variants)

Now that's one musical birb.

Updated 4 min read

In Aniimo, there is a wide variety of different monsters across various elemental Types and roles, which includes split evolution chains. The final forms of these Aniimo are popular and powerful picks, yet some remain harder to obtain through evolution or wild encounters due to certain mechanics or restrictions.

Tromber is a final-form evolution with the Wind element and the Support role, creating buffs to Wind-type damage and critical hits through its abilities. If you're wondering how to get Tromber in Aniimo, then the guide below has summarized all methods, including obtaining the alternative Tromber variants.

Where to Find & Catch All Tromber Variants in Aniimo

In Aniimo, Tromber will not appear as a wild spawn unless certain weather conditions have been met. Specifically, Tromber will only appear if there is rainy or thunderstorm weather currently going on. This applies to both regular Tromber, as well as the Beach and Highland variants.

You can change the weather at Breezy Plains Branch, but only after you have unlocked this feature, and this appears to be restricted to certain types of weather. Alternatively, natural weather cycles also appear, so you may need to either simply wait it out or opt for the evolution method instead.

Where to Find & Catch Regular Tromber in Aniimo

Tromber's regular form can be found within a small area of the beaches around The Argent Strait, but it will only spawn in during rainy or thunderstorm weather types in play.

This approximate location has been identified on the map below.

These regular Tromber will usually spawn in at around level 30, so make sure your team is capable of dealing enough damage to lower it for capture. Wind Type Aniimo such as Tromber are weak to Lightning or Light type attacks, so be sure to include one of these matchups in your team.

Where to Find & Catch Beach Tromber Variant

Beach Tromber can be found with a journey to the west, at the beach found in the Forest of Falling Stars. Once again, the spot on this beach has been circled for reference in the screenshot below to help you find a general area to hunt.

These Tromber will spawn in a little lower leveled than the regular variant, at around the level 20-25 mark instead. Beach Tromber is a Wind/Water Type, which makes Lightning types the best matchup. Light and Ice Types will still deal increased damage, just not as much as Lightning due to the double Water/Wind vulnerability.

Where to Find & Catch Highland Tromber Variant

Lastly, multiple Highland Tromber can be found in the Zephyrus Landbridge area during thunderstorms and rainy weather. Since there are multiple of this Aniimo around, your hunting area is much larger than with the previous variants, as indicated in the screenshot below:

These Tromber are the highest level out of all of the wild Tromber variants, sitting closer to the level 50-60 range. Highland Tromber is a Wind and Grass Type, so anything from Light, Lightning, Fire, or Dark Types will have a damage advantage.

How to Evolve Chirpi into Tromber

Much like the three Tromber variants, there are three different variants of Chirpi, all with the same names - Chirpi, Beach Chirpi, and Highland Chirpi.

Chirpi, no matter its variant, can evolve into one of three different Animo. These Aniimo are called Tromber, Cornet, and Tubster, and all have slightly different evolution criteria that you'll need to meet.

How to Evolve Regular Chirpi into Tromber

  • Chirpi must be at least level 18
  • Chirpi must have an HP potential of 6 or higher
  • Learn the Magical Horn passive
  • Gust Stone x3

How to Evolve Beach Chirpi into Beach Tromber

  • Beach Chirpi must be at least level 18
  • Beach Chirpi must have a HP potential of 6 or higher
  • Learn the Magical Horn passive
  • Gust Stone x3

How to Evolve Highland Chirpi into Highland Tromber

  • Highland Chirpi must be at least level 18
  • Highland Chirpi must have a HP potential of 6 or higher
  • Learn the Magical Horn passive
  • Gust Stone x3
  • Must occur in Russet Highlands region on your map

How to Get All Chirpi Evolution Requirements

First, to make sure you have the correct HP stat potential of 6 or higher, you can view a Chirpi's stats in the Outpost. If it has 6 or more on the required stat, then Tromber evolution should be possible.

Now, to learn the Magical Horn passive, you will first need to reach the Student III Rank and spend 1 Report Card to unlock Magical Horn.

Lastly, the only way to get Gust Stones is to defeat the Alpha Turbo in Nimbus Fields, as this is a material drop exclusive to this Aniimo. However, this is also one of the first lower-leveled bosses that you can face, so this makes it an easy enough one to farm. You'll just need to defeat it and wait for it to spawn in again three times.
