Final Fantasy Resonance: How to Beat the Metal Minituar

Don't miss a good EXP reward opponent!

2 min read

Like most turn-based games, Final Fantasy Resonance continues the tradition of unique, rare enemies that award large amounts of Experience Points. Most of the time, these foes tend to have a trick way of defeating them instead of force or spells.

This is the case with the Metal Minituar, a Cactuar-like enemy in Final Fantasy Resonance. This Minituar might seem invincible, but in this guide we'll show you how to defeat it and where to find it.

How to Beat the Metal Minituar

If you are reading this guide, then you've realized how tricky a foe the Metal Minituar is. It resists every element, so standard spells won't work against it. While its evasion rate is very high, it is not perfect. This small evasion opening will be the weakness you will exploit, and Multi-Hit attacks and those with a high hit chance will help you achieve that.

Although resistant to many elements, the Minituar's HP is very low. So, if he evades a first attack, he won't be so lucky with a consecutive one. After a few Multi-Hit swings, the Minituar will be defeated. One ability that landed with a high chance of landing was Fina's Shining Arrow. However, your best bet to defeat this enemy will be Espers.

As soon as battle starts, summon an Esper with Fina; most of these Summons' final attacks include multi-hit abilities. You should have Siren unlocked by this encounter since you met her as part of the main story in the previous chapter. Summon the Esper as early as possible because the Minituar will flee after some turns if it's not defeated. Defeating a Minituar will award you with 2500 EXP.

Where to Find Metal Minituars

You will find Metal Minituars in Dirnado, the continent of Wind, a zone you reach in Chapter 2. Specifically, they roam the areas around the Dwarven Forge. The best zone to encounter them is in the path under the bridges, which you can reach by turning right before heading into the Wind Shrine.

Another area to encounter Minituars is at the end of the left path out of the northern entrance of the Dwarven Forge. However, we had better luck in the area under the bridges, sometimes encountering two Minuars in a row for a good EXP farm.
