Moonlight Peaks: How to Unlock the Net

Catch your way to success and special rewards.

Updated 2 min read

Enchanting cosy game Moonlight Peaks combines the mechanics of farming, fishing and crafting with a delightfully spooky world. Dropped into the life of a runaway vampire, you need to embrace friendship and kindness to succeed and grow your own little homestead into a fully functioning farm.

Leaving your strict family behind, unlock your potential by helping your fellow Moonlight Peaks residents and discover what the town has to offer. One of the residents in particular will have a special task for you, and in preparation, will give you a much-needed tool.

How To Unlock The Net

Around Day 9, you'll be asked for help lifting a curse from the bridge into Misty Shores (the bottom of the map). Follow the questline, and after the curse is gone, you'll be able to visit the Ambrosia Graveyard.

In the Graveyard, Death will be waiting in his very snazzy Hawaiian shirt. After a quick cutscene, you'll go about your business as normal.

A few days later, you'll leave your farm, and Death will be waiting for you in front of the Job Board. He'll request your help in catching Soul Blobs; little floating skull-like spirits who, when caught, will give you a funny little insight into how they died.

Soul Blobs and Critters

When you catch a Soul Blob, it will disappear (you can't sell them), but it will automatically be added to your collection. There are 100 Soul Blobs to catch, and Death will reward you with items. For example, after catching several Blobs, he will gift you a Grandfather Clock that allows you to slow down your days (nights), making the evenings longer.

You will also be able to catch Critters: beetle and butterfly insects that you can sell or gift to other members of the town. But be aware, not everyone will appreciate your buggy gift. There are 95 Critters to catch, and you can keep track of both collections in the book next to your relationship list.

To use the net, select it from your inventory or item wheel where the other tools can be found, approach the Critter or Soul Blob you’d like to catch, and press the action button. Be warned though, some may try to flee, so you may need to chase them into a corner or blockade for easy capture!
