Moonlight Peaks: How To Fix Your Broken Wand
What good is a wand if you can't cast spells?
Moonlight Peaks is a farming Sim with a twist, and in this case, that twist is magic. Throughout your adventure, you'll brew potions, grow enchanted crops, and cast spells. But you won't be able to do any of that until you fix your broken wand.
This will be in your inventory right at the start of the game. But if you try to cast a spell, it'll just set out a little pathetic puff of smoke.
You'll need to progress through the initial quests the game has to offer, and eventually, you'll be able to fix your wand. If you're wondering what that order of progression looks like, stick around.
How To Fix Your Broken Wand
To fix your broken wand, you'll need to complete a series of quests, which will eventually lead you to the questline involving Luna and her new magical crop, Moonfruit.
To unlock this quest, you may first need to complete the following quests:
- Register at Town Hall
- Roof Over Your Head
- Outfish The Fisherman
- The First Step To Comfort
- A Bridge Too Far
- Tension In The Crest Garden
- Orlock's Wine Scheme
- A Croak & A Crest
- The Dinner Party
As a point of reference, this took me a total of 13 in-game days to do, all the while doing other activities.
Not all of these quests will be prerequisites to unlock this quest, but these will appear in-game before The Magic of Crops. So it's best to deal with these before this new quest comes along.
Helping Luna With Her Crops
As mentioned, you will eventually unlock the quest, The Magic of Crops. This will begin with Luna showing you the Aquaflux spell in action, which allows you to water magical crops within using a manual watering can. However, she will send you away to fix your wand before she can show you how to cast it yourself.
Your next port of call is Web and Wonder, Sabrina's shop on the south-west of town, where you'll come into contact with Sabrina and Noel. Unfortunately for you, Noel will offer to fix your wand, and do so rather haphazardly. But it does the job for the time being.
After this, head back to Luna, and she will show you how to cast the spell. This effectively plays out like a Simon Says mini-game, where you have to match the movement pattern on screen. It might take a few tries, but don't worry, there's no fail states here.
After this, she will ask you to keep watering this crop. So you will need to return for two days after, using Aquaflux to water the crops.
Do this, and you will eventually complete the quest after witnessing the final cutscene where everyone gathers to admire the fully matured Moonfruit.
This will conclude the quest, and alongside a fixed wand, you will also unlock the ability to purchase magical seeds from Luna's store. Not to mention spells from Sabrina.
