Aniimo: How to Get Scorchowl
The fire wolf enters its final form.
Aniimo offers a world full of roaming creatures that you can encounter, battle, capture, train, and evolve. There is a wide variety of monsters across different elements, complete with branching multiple-stage evolution lines.
One of the first Aniimo you will encounter in your journey is the fire wolf pup, Emberpup. However, while Emberpup is very easy to obtain, the evolutions can be much trickier to get your hands on. If you're wondering how to get the powerful third-stage fire evolution, Scorchowl, then this guide completely covers all possible ways to obtain one in Aniimo.
Where to Find & Capture Scorchowl in Aniimo
The first way that you can get Scorchowl in Aniimo is by capturing one in the wild. Scorchowl isn't exactly a common spawn, but it is an alpha boss at a designated spawn location. The wild alpha boss Scorchowl can be found specifically in Beast Fang Ridge, at the location marked in the map screenshot below:
This Scorchowl is level 33, so ensure that your team is appropriately leveled before heading into battle. Scorchowl is a pure Fire Type Aniimo, so it is also a good idea to make sure you have a Water or Earth Type Aniimo on your team.
Skippy and Pranky are decent choices due to their Water typing and how early into the game you can get them. As a backup option, your starter (Helion or Lunara) is also a good one to switch back and forth with during this fight, due to the powerful DPS they have.
It's also very important to note that Alpha bosses only provide one chance of capture upon the first time you defeat them. Although they are more limited, it is important to try and save your stronger Aniipods for these encounters. Otherwise, you'll be stuck testing chance with a regular Aniipod, and that's not ideal.
How to Evolve Flameruff into Scorchhowl in Aniimo
Alternatively, you can also get Scorchowl by progressing the Emberpup evolution line. It is one of the third-stage evolutions, and evolves directly from Flameruff once you have reached the level requirement and obtained the necessary materials. Getting Emberpup and evolving it into Flameruff is the easiest part - they're running around in large packs across several areas of the map, and are relatively common Aniimo.
However, to evolve Flameruff into Scorchowl you will need 1 Blaze Stone, which can be collected by defeating certain Fire Type Alpha bosses.
How to Get Blaze Stones in Aniimo
Although the Blaze Stone is listed as obtained from "Alpha bosses", it appears that the Scorchowl Alpha in Beast Fang Ridge is currently the only Alpha confirmed to drop this material. This means that you still have to defeat Alpha Scorchowl first before you can evolve your own Flameruff into Scorchowl, at least for now.
However, this may change in the future if additional Fire Alpha bosses are added, or other Alphas are later confirmed to drop Blaze Stones. If we discover any other ways of obtaining Blaze Stones during our time in the game, we will be sure to update this article with further information.
