Loftia: How To Craft A Fishing Rod

Rattan can be used in a myriad of crafting recipes in Loftia, but the first time you'll likely come across this material is when you need to craft a Fishing Rod, also known as the Collector Rod. It requires five Rattan, five Jute, and one Plastic Sheet.

Jute and Rattan are both new materials you'll have to learn where to find in the new region in Loftia, so let's explain how to get them and craft a Fishing Rod in Loftia.

Where to find Jute and Rattan for the Fishing Rod in Loftia

To craft the Fishing Rod (Collector Rod) in Loftia, you'll need to use Pruners on the Rattan plant and your Hammer on woven baskets to get Jute in the Hanging Gardens. Once you progress the story enough, you'll unlock the Hanging Gardens, which in turn gives you the quest that introduces you to the Fishing Rod.

Rattan

The tall palm-tree-esque plants that are scattered across the Hanging Gardens give you Rattan. Use your Pruners on them to collect Rattan. You'll find the most Rattan trees around the Floating Village, Bamboo Forest, and around the outside of Windmill Island.

Jute

Jute, on the other hand, can be picked up off the ground or collected from breaking down baskets using your Hammer. These will most often spawn around the Floating Village, on Windmill Island, and near the Hanging Gardens Port.

Fishing Rod Recipe

You'll be able to craft a Fishing Rod once you meet Kassim at the Hanging Gardens and complete his introductory quests that ask you to craft a rod and use it to fish.

From there, you can interact with your Project Station and craft a Collector Rod with the right materials. Make sure to also craft one Plastic Sheet at your Refining Station to complete the recipe.
