Loftia: How To Upgrade The Hammer

You'll use your Hammer often in Loftia, since it's required to scavenge materials from certain objects. It's not only useful for scavenging, but also for accessing blocked areas.

Unfortunately, you'll have to upgrade your Hammer before you can get past big rocks and scavenge from larger objects. It's not as easy as you'd think, so we'll help you figure out how to upgrade your Hammer in Loftia.

How to upgrade your Hammer in Loftia

You can upgrade your Hammer to Lv. 2 in Loftia by upgrading your Project Station to Lv. 2 and completing the Heavy-Weight Titans bundle at the Central Lake Research Station.

Once you gain access to the Hanging Gardens area and reach the main quest called 'Field Research,' talk to Kun and start his quest 'Notes From the Land.' He'll ask you to upgrade your Hammer to Lv. 2, and the only way to unlock the crafting recipe for the Hammer upgrade is by completing the Heavy-Weight Titans bundle.

Interact with the research station at Central Lake, and you should see four different bundles. The Heavy-Weight Titans bundle has you catch four different species of fish, and your reward for completing this bundle will be the Lv. 2 Hammer upgrade. You can find these fish within the large Central Lake, so keep fishing until you find one of each.

Another prerequisite to crafting the Hammer upgrade is having your Project Station upgraded to Lv. 2. At this point in the game, you should have the upgrade available. It costs 3 Copper Scraps, 5 Screws, and 5 Scrap Wire. It also uses up 7 Energy to upgrade, so make sure you've also upgraded your Battery to Lv. 2.

Once you've done all that, you should be able to return to your Project Station and upgrade your Hammer to Lv. 2. This upgrade requires 10 Rattan, 10 Copper Scraps, and 2 Rubber.
