Updated 3 min read

Moonlight Peaks has you discovering a variety of resources in terms of farming, selling, and gifting to romance NPCs in the game. A particularly useful resource you can unlock in-game is Honey, which is used in a lot of food and drink recipes and is a quick sell for money. Additionally, the Beehive that produces honey can also make a great addition to your farm's layout, making it a must-grab in Moonlight Peaks.

If you're curious about how to unlock the Beehive and get honey in Moonlight Peaks, well, you've come to the right place. We'll be tackling everything you need for the Beehive and getting honey in our guide below.

How to Unlock the Beehive in Moonlight Peaks

To unlock the Beehive in Moonlight Peaks, you can't just buy this in any of the Town's shops. No store owner from Ridge to Sabrina or even Luna has the Beehive. However, you can get the Beehive blueprint once you develop your friendship status with Luna. This is done by giving her her Loved Gifts daily, such as Any Flower you can give her.

After developing your relationship hearts with Luna, she'll then leave you a letter in your mailbox the next day. The letter will have the Beehive Blueprint attached to the letter. Once you get the Blueprint for the Beehive, it's then added to your crafting recipes on your workbench. At this point, you've finally unlocked the Beehive and can now craft the Beehive.

How to Craft a Beehive in Moonlight Peaks

When it comes to crafting the Beehive in Moonlight Peaks, you can see the crafting requirements on your workbench. The Beehive, or rather, the Bee House, costs 10 Hardwood Planks and 20 Fiber.

Getting Hardwood might be a challenge since you'll need an upgraded Axe that's on the Copper Level or higher. Hardwood is found by chopping up the large dark logs lying on the ground. Once you've collected enough Hardwood, you can then put your Hardwood into a Refiner and turn it into Hardwood Planks. While for the Fiber, simply use your Scythe and swing it around the Grass to generate Fiber you can pick up.

Upon gathering your materials, head back to your workbench and then craft the Beehive. You simply have to press your trigger button to allow the Beehive to be crafted. With that, you have finally crafted a Beehive to use.

How to Get Honey in Moonlight Peaks

Once you have your Beehive, place it somewhere where you have some good land space. Making honey comes automatically once you place your Beehive. Honey will generate inside the hive at a pretty slow pace.

If you want to increase the speed and amount of honey being produced, you can place flowers around your Beehive. But don't just put them randomly. Go to decoration mode with your Beehive; you'll see a highlighted area that shows the covered area where you should put flowers around your Beehive. If you put flowers within that square, you can increase the production amount of honey.

With that, you now know how to get honey in Moonlight Peaks. Jars of honey can be sold for 20 coins each, used in cooking recipes, and make for good gifts for the residents. You don't have to build multiple Beehives if you're focusing on farming for Wine and other produce. But honey does provide a good alternative to make a quick buck. Immediately invest in the Beehive for some more passive income and additional food ingredients!
