Palworld 1.0: Best Pals for Expeditions
These are the Pals you need to start bringing on Expeditions in Palworld.
Expeditions in Palworld are a great way to passively earn dungeon materials while not having to explore them yourself. The only problem is that you need to pick the right Pals for the job, or else you'll come back with little to no rewards.
The better the Pal you pick, the more rewards you'll acquire after the Expedition is complete. To ensure your success, here's a list of some of the best Pals you can send on Expeditions in Palworld 1.0.
Best Pals for Expeditions in Palworld
Overall, the best Pals to use on Expeditions in Palworld are those with the highest Firepower and stats. If you're able to reach the recommended Firepower level faster, you can send out fewer important Pals on the Expedition. In general, Pals like Frostallion Noct, Jormuntide Ignis, and Panthalus are excellent choices for Pal Expeditions.
Frostallion Noct
Frostallion Noct has some of the highest base stats in Palworld, making it a perfect match for Expeditions that require Dark-type Pals like Dark Cave of Feybreak and Ancient Feybreak Ruins. It can be found at Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3 as an Alpha variant at Lvl. 65, hatched from a Huge Dark Egg, or obtained by breeding it.
It's not only an excellent flying mount, but it has Gathering Lvl. 7 and is a killer in combat. Using Frostallion Noct in Expeditions will guarantee higher rewards.
Jormuntide Ignis
Jormuntide Ignis is both a Fire and Dragon type Pal that is useful for Expeditions that require either of those elements. This means Jormuntide Ignis is able to partake in Blazing Cavern, Sunreach Isle, Eternal Pyre's Forbidden Market, and Sunreach Dragon Husk Expeditions. Although not as strong as Frostallion Noct, Jormuntide Ignis still is one of the best Pals when it comes to Firepower.
You can find this Pal along the lava pools near the eastern coast of Feybreak Island, southwest of the Emberstone Plateau Fast Travel Point. They also come from Huge Dragon Eggs or Pal breeding.
Panthalus
Panthalus is officially the strongest Water-type Pal in Palworld with the 1.0 update, and it's required to catch if you want to unlock the World Tree area. It's a beast as a tank in battle and is especially good in Expeditions such as Celestial Sakura Cavern and Moonflower's Secret Hideout.
Since you can only get Panthalus from a quest after talking to a researcher on the Deserted Islet, it's not something you'll have until the endgame. But when you do get Panthalus, make sure to put it on Expeditions as soon as possible.
Warsect
As a Grass and Ground-type Pal, Warsect is definitely one of the strongest in its field. You likely won't find a better Pal to send on Grass Expeditions like Secret Realm of the Forest and Free Pal Alliance Illicit Trading Post. Still, it can also work on Ground Expeditions like Hidden Sanctum of the Desert and PIDF Illegal Factory.
You can catch Warsect around the Sealed Realm of the Mystic Fast Travel Point below Frostbound Mountains. It's also available to hatch from Huge Rocky Eggs, purchase from Wandering Merchants, and from Pal breeding.
Frostallion
If you're looking for a strong Ice Pal to bring on Expeditions like Astral Frost Cavern and PAL Genetic Research Laboratory, try Frostallion. It's considered the strongest Ice-type Pal with some of the highest health and attack stats in the game.
You'll find Frostallion as an Alpha Boss in the Astral Mountains, specifically near the lake by the Garden Beneath the Astral Mountains Fast Travel Point. It can also come from Huge Frozen Eggs and Pal breeding.
