Updated 4 min read

Sharpshooter is one of the eight class specs you can choose for your operators in Star Wars Zero Company. Unlike Heavy, the Sharpshooter class isn't about surviving the fight rather it's about ending it before the enemy gets close enough. So, to help you get the most out of this class, this guide walks you through all the important builds, playstyle and everything you would need for the best Sharpshooter class build in Star Wars Zero Company.

Star Wars Zero Company Sharpshooter Class, Explained

The Sharpshooter is a patient, long-range marksman built to eliminate one dangerous enemy per turn rather than spread damage around. While the Gunslinger sprays fire across a crowd and the Assault closes distance to brawl, when playing the Sharpshooter you need to stay back, line up a shot, and take out any actual threat in the enemy squad.

Its skillset is built entirely around accuracy and consistency with a self-buff that stacks up hit chance and crit chance, and an Ultimate that cannot miss. For operators that can hold a position and delete priority targets with near-guaranteed shots, the Sharpshooter is the go-to spec, and you should always have one in your squad.

How To Play Sharpshooter Class in Star Wars Zero Company

The core playstyle of the Sharpshooter class is patience. Since you will not be racing to spend every AP on damage the way a Gunslinger or Assault would, you need to pick your shots and make sure it counts.

When playing Sharpshooter, first you need to find a position with a clean sightline before you do anything else, ideally somewhere your frontline is already drawing attention away from you. Use Zero In to stack Lethal before you commit to your main attack, since the accuracy and crit bonus scales with every stack you build.

If a Scoundrel has already tagged your target with Identify Weakness, that buffed shot becomes a guaranteed critical. Save Precision Shot for the moment you genuinely need a hit to land, ideally on a Boss or Elite you can't afford to whiff on. Since it pulls a heavy chunk of Advantage, you should first check whether the squad's damage needs are better served elsewhere first.

Outside of your main attack, don't be afraid to end a turn in Overwatch instead of forcing a shot. With Pick Them Off offsetting the usual range penalty, a Sharpshooter sitting in Overwatch is often doing more work than one chasing a marginal kill.

Best Build Combination for Sharpshooter Class

Best Talent Specialization

The best talent for the Sharpshooter is "The Bigger They Are…", which adds bonus damage against Elite and Boss enemies. It's a natural fit for this class since you can combine it with a Scoundrel's guaranteed crit buff and you're looking at damage numbers big enough to eliminate bosses in a single shot.

If you're playing missions without many Elites or bosses to worry about, Cold Blooded is arguably the better pure DPS pick. It stacks Vicious, guaranteeing your next attack is a Critical Hit, and one stack is consumed each time a crit lands using which you can reliably keep your DPS high across a long fight.

Best Secondary Specialization

For the Sharpshooter Class, we recommend the Scoundrel as your Secondary Specialization. Scoundrel lets you spend AP to guarantee a critical hit on a chosen target, which is exactly the kind of buff you would want on a precision class.

AbilityEffects
Easy Mark (Ultimate)Marks the chosen enemy, allowing this Operator to Assist the next ally that attacks that target
Identify Weakness (Standard)Makes a chosen enemy Vulnerable, allowing the next attack to Critically Hit
Never Play Fair (Passive)Increases this Operator's Assist Damage
Scoundrel's Instinct (Passive)All attacks Penetrate, ignoring up to 4 points of Defense
Scoundrel Class Abilities
NOTE: If you want to have better Advantage generation instead of guaranteeing crits, you can alternatively pick the Scout specialization. It keeps your Advantage high throughout the fight. Gunslinger is also worth considering if you want a fallback option for when enemies close the gap.

Best Weapon for Sharpshooter Class

The Longarm Blaster is the best weapon for the Sharpshooter thanks to its range, raw damage, and standout Critical Damage bonus. This is exactly what a class built around single-target elimination needs. It costs more AP per shot than other weapons, but definitely worth every shot. The Blaster Rifle is a fallback option if you want to trade some of that damage for cheaper, more frequent fire at medium range.
