Star Wars Zero Company: Medic Class Guide - Playstyle, Best Combinations, & More
Save others from Aurelio's fate.
Star Wars Zero Company brings many features from the turn-based tactics genre, including classes; in this case, a total of eight specializations. These specializations represent combat elements from both the Star Wars universe and the genre.
One of these specializations is the Medic. In this guide, we will explain how it works, how to use it best, and come out victorious in the battles Zero Company has to offer.
Medic Specializations, Explained
In Zero Company, the Medic is described as excelling at healing and preserving their teammates through healing and the prevention of injuries. Medics can also boost their teammates, both physically and psychologically.
The Medic will be your best supporting operator on the battlefield. Turns on the Medic will be better used defensively by boosting or healing allies, instead of focusing on attacks. Having a medic on your squad will be a must if you are playing with Permadeath active and don't want to lose team members, as it happens with a certain character in the introduction of the game.
Medic Class Abilities
| Ability | Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Morale Boost | Ultimate | This Operator and all nearby allies increase to 4 stacks of Morale. |
| Combat Stim | Standard | Grants Stimulant to an ally for 2 Turns, increasing Max Health, Melee Damage, and Ranged Damage. |
| Lifesaving Measures | Passive | Medpacs used by this Operator restore an additional +5% Health. |
| First Responder | Passive | This Operator is permanently equipped with a Medpac that does not use a utility slot. When this Operator rescues an ally with Rally, that ally is Fully Healed. |
How to Play the Medic Class in Star Wars Zero Company
The medic should be played at a close to medium distance from its allies. There is a limited range for abilities that can be applied to allies, so don't go too far. Still, try to keep a distance from enemies so that you can save those healing items for the squadmates in the fight.
For its first turn, since most allies will have full HP, use it to find a good spot to support your allies from. Use your remaining AP to apply the Combat Stim to allies, especially those who will be doing the close and melee combat.
As soon as you have the Advantage Points, use Morale Boost to fortify your allies. As mentioned, be sure to be close to your allies for this one since the Morale Boost range isn't as large as other support abilities.
Best Build Combination for Medic
Best Talent
There are many ways you can complement the Medic specialization. One of those ways is with your selected Talent. Main companions will have a designated Talent; however, for Operators that you recruit from the Den, these Talents can be changed.
For the Medic, Grit will be the best talent, which gives one stack of invulnerable (prevents all damage from the next attack) to the operator and increases Health by two, once per turn. This Talent can help save uses of medical items on the Medic itself and save them for allies.
Other useful Talents can be A Life of Labor, which gives the Operator a bonus of five health and one defense, and Anticipation, which grants Evasion.
Best Utilities for Medic
Utilities are other gear items that Operators can use in combat, both for attack and defense capabilities. For the Medic, the best utility will be the Medpack, since its Lifesaving Measures passive ability grants additional healing for these.
Later in the game, other slots for Utilities will become available. This will depend on your playstyle, but a Concussion Grande can come in handy to keep enemies away.
Best Secondary Specialization for Medic
Later in the game, Operators will unlock a second specialization, bringing even more abilities to their arsenal. For the Medic, since it is already working as a support, the best option will be another support class, Scout.
If you already have a healthy squad, then you can use the Scout abilities to buff the offensive capabilities of your allies or do great damage from a distance with the Ambush ultimate attack.
| Ability | Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Ambush | Ultimate | Execute a well-timed surprise attack on an enemy. The more Advantage used in this attack, the greater the damage. |
| Combat Recon | Standard | Assess threats in the target area, granting Advantage for each enemy in the assessment area. |
| Tactical Timing | Passive | Provides a 20% chance to gain +1 Advantage when this Operator defeats an enemy. |
| The Spotter | Passive | When this Operator damages an enemy with their blaster, that enemy is Spotted. |

Best Weapon for the Medic Class
The best weapon for the Medic will be a Blaster Rifle. This weapon is excellent for the range the Medic will be fighting from (close to medium range). The Blaster Rifle only costs one AP per use, saving you some turns to apply the support abilities the team needs.
