Big Walk: How to Solve the Blue Platform Telescope Puzzle
Find both platforms with ease and complete the puzzle.
After unlocking the charlifts in Big Walk, you'll likely find yourself exploring the central mountain. There's plenty to find here, including a telescope puzzle on a blue platform to the southeast of the brown ring structure. This puzzle requires two players, and while it can be solved without any additional equipment, I have some recommendations that will help you complete it.
Blue Platform Telescope Puzzle Location in Big Walk
Hop off the chairlift once you reach the central mountain and follow the path up and around the top of the mountain until you locate the brown ring structure. Pass it and stay on the path until you reach a set of blue cubes with a control panel piece, a control switch, and a telescope at map coordinates 3675, 1720 (noted as point 1 on the map above).
If you look through the telescope during the day, you'll see another blue platform in the distance. This platform is not marked on the map, but it points to the southwest of the map, towards the coastline.
The Best Tool to Complete this Puzzle
I would highly recommend a pair of walkie-talkies for this puzzle. There's one by the chairlift station at 3605, 1795 on a blue frame piece overlooking the valley below, and another that sits in the ravine near the red tunnel at 3680, 1500. There are others; these two are just easy to signpost.
Walkie-talkies can be used to communicate across the map. They transmit to other walkie-talkies and to all radio receivers.
How to Solve the Blue Platform Telescope Puzzle
As I mentioned, the solution for this puzzle is not marked on the map. You can find the second platform at 4210, 1560.
Both blue platforms have a timed switch on the block to the left of their telescopes. While the light on the switch will be red at first, it will turn yellow once the switch is pressed. The players on each platform either need to hit the switch at the same time or in quick succession. Both switches must be hit while the light is still yellow; if it turns red again, you have to retry the puzzle.
This is the reason I suggest walkie-talkies for this puzzle. While you could use the telescopes to signal each other from a distance, they are quite limiting. It's easier and faster to do a quick 3-2-1 countdown on the walkie-talkie and press the switches together than using the telescope, especially if the sun sets in the time it takes for your companion to reach the second blue platform.
You can then also use the walkie-talkies to discuss a meet-up point after the player on the mountaintop grabs the control panel piece.
