Best Weapons Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 1
  • Nodachi is one of the earliest Katana you can get, tucked away in the Earth Shrine. It's an easy one to nab and a nice starter boost for Lasswell, so worth taking. You can then later upgrade to the likes of Kogarasumaru for even better stats or Iwakirimaru for MP optimization,
  • Crescent Bow is another great early option, carrying nice stat improvements from Fina's default weapon, but with a Sanctity boost. Either this or Floral Arc makes a great choice for Fina to utilize until you reach something better.
  • Claymore is an early boost to Rain's damage output that can be grabbed nice and easy from a shop. It's worth taking time to do the quest for Flamberge, though, as the HP boost is very powerful this early into the game.

Best Armors Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 1
  • During Chapter 1, your team will be made up from Rain, Lasswell, and Fina. Both Rain and Lasswell use Light Armor and Heavy Armor, while Fina uses Light Armor or Robes, as it can be equipped to any character.
  • Bronze Chestplate is the earliest base level upgrade available for your party, and it can be picked up cheap at Grandshelt.
  • From there, it's best to then assign the Black Garb to Lasswell, Knight's Jacket to Rain, and Spirit Veil to Fina. Then, later, once you can afford Surcoat, upgrading them will go a long way before you upgrade better armor choices in the next chapters that offer big stat bumps and powerful passive effects.

Best Accessories Available in Chapter 1

Mage's GlassesIncreases MP by 15.Purchased for 800 from Grandshelt, the Royal Capital.
HairbandIncreases Physical Defense by 5Purchase for 200 from Town of Mitra, Grandshelt, the Royal Capital, and Grandport Harbor.
Best Accessories Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 1
  • There are a few items you'll find during Chapter 1, but only a few are notable enough to actively seek out for early game builds. Hairband is a good cheap option for adding extra defensive buffs on top of your armor. It's available pretty much right away, and you can even equip two per character for +10 Physical Defense until you come across better options if you need.
  • Idaten's Shoes x2 is pretty much a must-have for Lasswell early on, as he thrives on high speed for Staggers. It can also be beneficial to any character you want to make a little faster to ensure they hit before the enemy can react.
  • On the other hand, Mage's Glasses are absolutely perfect for Fina, buffing her MP. This lets her do even more healing and use her best spells more frequently, which makes a huge difference in her overall power and the survivability of your team as a whole. 2x Mage's Glasses can carry her surprisingly far into the game, and it's a decent item for any character who needs more MP at any point of the game.

Best Weapons Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 2
  • Composite Bow continues building up Fina's strengths of Sanctity spells and heals, buffing stats across the board from her previous equips. Then, once you've saved up a bit more cash you can grab the Silver Bow for a steeper stat upgrade, pushing everything to around the 40 mark and above.
  • When it comes to Lasswell, you may choose to stay with Iwakirimaru for better MP to help him use his stronger moves for Stagger, but you can also swap over to Ashura to give him a flat speed boost instead, helping him to strike first before enemies can react. Samurai's Katana is also an option if you're finding he needs a bit of a survivability boost through more HP.
  • Knight's Blade is an option for bumping up Rain's damage, but it most certainly doesn't outweigh the HP advantage from Flamberge, so I'd recommend sticking with that one until you access Flametongue, and then picking if you'd rather have Flamberge's extra HP or the flat fire damage boost from Flametongue, which Rain can more than make use of.
  • Lid will be your new addition to the team during Chapter 2, using Hammer weapons. To begin, you'll want to make sure you grab Sledgehammer from the hidden chest at Dwarven Forge, as it offers a stat boost and an improved Crit rate for Lid.

HP: +90
Increases HP by 90.
Purchase for 2250 from Dwarven Forge.
Best Armors Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 2
  • Cape of the Raiju is one of the first armors you should make a point of picking up in Chapter 2. It makes a great temporary armor for Fina, and it can also be used as a nice first choice for Nichol once he unlocks in Chapter 3, until his better options come along.
  • Armor of Gales is a great next choice for Rain as Lasswell needs his speeds for optimal Staggers. Rain fits a tanker role, and Armor of Gales supports this with a whopping 87 Defense at the cost of some speed. It also offers an extra 20 MP, which enables him to use his most powerful moves more - this pairs very well with the Flametongue weapon!
  • Power Vest is a great next upgrade for anyone wearing Surcoat if other options are inaccessible for whatever reason, so feel free to sell this off and cash in for a bump from 42/36 to 57/48.
  • Silk Robe is the next best choice for Fina as soon as you can get your hands on it, due to the useful Sanctity boost and overall stat improvements.
  • Lastly, Phalanx is a great option to pivot Rain into after Armor of Gales, as it has a lesser Speed penalty. Phalanx has greater Physical Defense, while Armor of Gales has stronger Magical Defense. Phalanx can also make a great initial choice for Lid, who will be joining your party throughout the chapter. You can assign Phalanx to one and Armor of Gales to the other, both are good options that fall under the tankier armor approach.

Best Accessories Available in Chapter 2

Chocobo Down CharmGrants the ability to survive with 1 HP upon receiving damage exceeding HP once per battle.
Obtained from a chest at Mobliz Shipyard, behind the Viridian Pot.
Best Accessories Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 2
  • Chocobo Down Charm is perhaps the best Accessory you can get in the early game, and the only main priority to worry about in Chapter 2. Once per battle it gives you the safety net of nullifying a knockout on the equipped party member, letting you take risks with plays. It's great if you have a main support/utility pick you want to keep up at all costs (Fina, Nichol) or can even be stuck on Lasswell for extra safety as a main DPS and Stagger focus.

Best Weapons Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 3
  • Most of the options available to Lasswell at this point don't have extra speed of Stagger bonuses, but they do give his base attack numbers quite a nice little bump. If you want to take this leap, you can start with purchasing Hototogisu, which takes you up to 65 Physical Attack and 43 Magic Attack. After that, you can swap over to Shiranui a bit further into the chapter, which will take you up to 76/50.
  • Rain, on the other hand, is better off just sticking with Flamberge or Flame Tongue, as they are some of the most powerful weapons not just for him but across the board at this stage of the game. However, if you would like to pivot into another type of magic attack for a bit more variety, then Icebrand can give you the option. It has pretty solid stats, and it imbues non-elemental physical attacks with Ice, meaning even your basic attacks can deal elemental damage.
  • Fina can scale again throughout this chapter, thanks to the stat increases offered by Elfin Bow. There's no downside to taking this, so I'd recommend making it one of the first weapon choices you make.
  • There are some more Hammers in this chapter that can improve Lid's damage too, which are handy to grab especially while Mechabo may be down. Warpick is available a bit earlier on, with a 61/59 stat lineup and +20 Speed, which is quite nice. Then, later on at Water Shrine you can access Piercing Mace. This is an absolute no-brainer, as it bumps you all the way up to 73/70, and enables you to deal more damage when utilizing elemental weaknesses.
  • At this point in the story, you will also encounter Fina's Archwitch form in your party, with her usual a different weapon - a Whip! If you want to get your hands on one of the first Whips in the game, then Leather Whip can be purchased to give her a handy speed boost, ensuring she's able to use her brutally powerful attacks first.
  • Nichol, a powerful support character wielding Grimoires will join you in this chapter. If you want an early improvement for his weapon, you can purchase Knightly Tactics as soon as you reach the Town of Amore, bumping his Magic Damage up by around 20 points. Then, once you're exploring the Water Shrine, you can get R'lyeh Text, which further improves magical damage to 93, physical attack to 35, and boosts damage from his water attacks by 30%.

Best Armors Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 3
  • Ninja Gear can be picked up during the Cave of Waters, and you should go to the effort of grabbing it, even if you just end up selling it instead. It's a flexible armor with good stats and 15% chance to evade attacks. It can also be used on anyone as a Light Armor, which is nice.
  • Lunar Eclipse Robe and Mirage Robe are also notable options for Fina and/or Nichol. They both has a stat split of 57/67, but slightly different bonuses. Lunar Eclipse Robe offers Sanctity, which is nice for Fina, while Mirage Robe ups Speed and offers evasions for magic attacks.
  • Then, once you get to Mobliz Shipyard you can potentially swap them for Protective Overcoat, which has 86/30 and 17 Sanctity - another suitable pick for Fina.
  • Silver Chestplate also becomes available in this chapter and is a massive contender for your primary tank at this point - either Rain or Lid. It gives a huge defense boost to 91/57 and offers a strong survivability boost with 110 bonus HP.

Best Accessories Available in Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 3
  • The Jeweled Ring is one of the best choices to pick up here, being used as an optimal item in some early game builds, particularly for Nichole and/or Lid. It prevents two massively disrupting status effects and ensures they're able to perform their job on the field without this worry.
  • Heart Anklet can also be picked up at this time, further strengthening builds that need a bit more survivability, have a tanky damage-sponge playstyle, or just benefit from additional HP increases. For 1000 Gil, it's an easy buy.
  • The Calm Armlet offers similar perks to that of the Chocobo Down Charm, but just for different effects. You can also equip both rings for simultaneous immunity against all four statuses, if you really want to buff a member of your team in that regard.
