Final Fantasy Resonance: How to Unlock Y'shtola & Best Pairings

Discover how to get Y'shtola & her best pairings for combat.

2 min read

In Final Fantasy Resonance, there are a variety of Visions spread throughout the lands. You will be able to locate and visit their Shrines throughout your adventure, letting you unlock new Visions and pair them with your party members to unlock new skills in battle and optimize your builds.

Y'shtola is a Vision that becomes available from Chapter 4, and as one of the best Breaker Visions in the game, she's one you'll want to add to your collection ASAP. This guide covers where to find and unlock Y'shtola in Final Fantasy Resonance and the best combat pairings to consider for using her to her full potential.

How to Get Y'shtola in Final Fantasy Resonance

In Final Fantasy Resonance, Y'shtola becomes available from Chapter 4 and beyond. She is found at the Sanctum of Y'shtola, located on the southern side of the Zoldaad Empire Territory.

The Sanctum will be glowing bright blue on your map, so it's pretty hard to miss.

Enter the Sanctum of Y'shtola and interact with the giant glowing crystal. You will now be prompted to answer some multi-choice questions. Answer them as you would like, as you will obtain Y'shtola regardless of what you select.

In just a brief moment, she will be added to your Visions. You can now equip her to a party member from the in-game menu.

If you're wanting to grind some levels up for Y'shtola after acquiring her, there is also a great sport for farming MRP through Cactuar encounters very close by. It can be found just a few more steps South from the Sanctum of Y'shtola, making it handy for getting a head start on leveling right off the bat.

You'll know you've hit the right spot if you find a tiny stretch of desert with a few cacti peeking out from the dunes.

Y'shtola Abilities & Best Pairings in Final Fantasy Resonance

Y'shtola is a Breaker Vision that uses Magic-based attacks, with a kit composed of heals plus Ice and Wind attacks. The best choice to pair with Y'shtola is Fina and/or Archwitch Fina, as Y'shtola naturally compliments her playstyle in both forms and supplies her with additional elements she does not otherwise have access to, giving her a stronger, more well-rounded approach.

This works well for multiple reasons. First, there's the bonus of being able to dip into Ice and Wind elements. There's much value to be found in increasing the Stagger power of magical attacks (Fulminating Spells), not to mention Stagger Power, and being able to simultaneous damage enemies and remove buffs at the same time through Aetherial Wind.
