Final Fantasy Resonance: How to Recruit Aileen
The Vision that brings help in and out of combat!
In Final Fantasy Resonance, the turn-based combat that started the series makes a return. However, this entry adds a feature called Visions that adds extra layers of strategy to gameplay. These Visions consist of characters from other Final Fantasy worlds that will aid you in battle.
While most Visions can be obtained by discovering them in Sanctum of Lights, some are acquired through other means, such as side quests. This is the case with Aileen, a Vision that will bring more than just combat aid to the Resonance party. In this guide, we'll show you where and what you need to do to get Aileen on board.
Where to Find Aileen
To first encounter Aileen, you will need to accept the quest "Forger of Wills" in Dilmagia, the Machinopolis. This side quest, however, is available after completing Chapter 4 of the main story. As soon as you enter Dilmagia, speak to the woman at the entrance to accept the quest. Next, continue all the way down the hall and enter the shipyard area, where you will find Aileen.
Aileen promises to help Rain's party, only if he answers her questions correctly. However, Aileen still needs some time to rest and leaves the questions for later, giving you some time to gather some intel on what those answers could be. There are three people you will gather information from:
- An engineer in Dilmagia itself. This engineer explains a weapons incident Aileen was involved in.
- A woman in the Village of Kol. She will explain how Aileen made a weapon specifically designed for her.
- A man in the Rebel Hideout. This Rebel explains Aileen's passion for her craft.
Correct Answers for Aileen
After gathering intel, head back to the shipyard in Dilmagia to answer Aileen's questions. If you give an answer that doesn't go with Aileen's ideals, she will decline joining the party. Worry not; you can keep trying until you get the correct answers, which are based on the stories the people you questioned told you about Aileen. But if you want to speed up the process, here are the correct answers:
- It’s a tool of harm
- A way to rebel against troubling times
- Craft weapons that suit each of us well
When you give these answers, Aileen will agree and join the party not only as a Vision, but also as a weapons crafter for the squad. Head back to the deck of the airship to find Aileen there and speak to her about crafting weapons for each party member. She will ask for some time to see how the team fights first. Around Chapter 6, she agrees to craft weapons in exchange for Adamantite, a resource that can be obtained as a Table Shard reward, the Colosseum, and by exploration.
Aileen's Role
- Role: Breaker
- Element: Ice, Earth
- Resonance: Fatal Impact - Deal Earth physical damage to an enemy.
- World: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
As a Vision, Aileen fits well with both Fina and Jack, as she brings elements that both of them lack. Additionally, her passive ability, Rearguard, increases damage dealt by physical attacks by 40%. In combination with the Jump ability, which deals physical damage, it makes for a serious damage mix.
