Mortal Shell 2: How To Get And Use The Chapel Key
Here's how to get the Chapel Key.
As you start exploring the Mushroom Village, one of the early-game locations in Mortal Shell 2, you might happen to come across a Chapel. However, as luck would have it, it's locked up tight.
But don't despair, as this key can be found within the village, provided you know exactly where to look, as its location is shrouded by a sneaky illusion.
To the untrained eye, this could be easily missed. But to make sure you don't miss out on any spoils and a new weapon, we have a guide to help you get inside.
How To Get The Chapel Key?
To get the Chapel Key, you'll want to head into the Mushroom Village and fight your way through the hags that call the place home. However, just before you reach the Beacon for the area. Turn right and break down some boxes. This will grant you access to an area with a bridge leading to an area where the hags are performing a ceremony of sorts by a bonfire.
Take down this group of enemies, then turn your attention to the little stone archway on the right. You'll want to look right through the arch and walk through. Doing so will reveal a statue that is otherwise imperceptible.
Do this, and at the end of the rope the statue is holding, you'll find the Chapel Key.
Where To Use Chapel Key & Rewards
The Chapel can be found left of the Beacon in the Mushroom Village. This is the same area where you will be able to purchase the pup in a cage.
Use the key, and you'll gain access to the Shrine of Trials. A pretty rudimentary dungeon where you will need to face the king statue and walk backward to enter, and then solve a few sliding block puzzles, as well as defeat a handful of enemies.
Doing so will lead to a room where you'll get your hands on the Axe and Dagger weapon set. A powerful and more rapid alternative to the Iconoclast.
