Mistfall Hunter: Best Trio Compositions
Who will you pick, hunter?
Mistfall Hunter certainly provides a different gaming experience depending on whether you venture out alone or with a trusty team. Some classes are more self-sufficient than others, some excel at fighting players rather than monsters, and some simply get dunked on if they're left to fend for themselves.
If you're looking to grab yourself some banging loot, best your enemies, and battle the best of the best - you'll need to know the pros and cons of each class and how they fit into different team compositions. Without further ado, here are the Best Trio Compositions in Mistfall Hunter.
Best Trio Compositions in Mistfall Hunter
Starting with the simplest team composition: a strong frontline, long of supportive potential, and a consistent, reliable damage dealer.
| Class | Role | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Withered Knight | Tank/Frontline | A strong frontline character is an essential piece of the team's puzzle, they create space for their ranged characters to actually play the game. The Withered Knight is an extremely tanky unit who can withstand lots of damage. At the same time, they pump out significant damage and crowd control effects if they can get on top of the enemies. Strong for holding boss aggro in PvE and tanking obscene damage in PvP. |
| Sorcerer | AoE Damage/Area Control | While Sorcerer can be a pretty weak class in a solo setting, they thrive extremely well in a group. Sorcerer's can be pretty hard to learn and master. Their high skill ceiling allows them to pull off crazy clutch plays in PvP while locking down multiple targets at once. The Sorcerer always fares extremely well in PvE. If they have a frontline, they're golden. |
| Seer | Healing/Shielding/Support | The Seer is hands down the best class to mix into your team. Their healing and shielding capabilities are extremely important to maintain your team's healthpool. Mistfall Hunter is home to a plethora of enemies that will drain your health consumables, the Seer cushions this burden. The Seer's totems are pivotal to the success of a teamfight or a boss fight. However, the Seer is incredibly weak by themselves and without a strong frontline to protect them. |
This next composition is very similar, but identifies the substitutes that you can make depending on which classes are your favourites. The Mercenary is a great swap for the Withered Knight, and Blackarrow can be an effective swap for the Sorcerer if you have good aim.
| Class | Role | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Mercenary | Good Frontline | The Mercenary class is a great tank option if you don't vibe with the Withered Knight. While the Mercenary tanks less damage, they are extremely versatile with the ability to switch weapons depending on the situation. |
| Blackarrow | Great Ranged Damage | Blackarrow is definitely the hardest class in the game, requiring trained accuracy and precision. It's incredibly easy to miss your shots, and even easier to get locked down by an enemy. It's very difficult to land shots on enemies that are dashing around everywhere, making the Blackarrow class a lot easier to play in PvP. But, a trained archer is absolutely lethal with their special arrrows. |
| Seer | Healing/Shielding/Support | In addition to the information above, the Seer is also a great way to peel for your Blackarrow and Sorcerer. Make sure to place your totems in safe locations where the enemies cannot destroy them. |
Alternatively, you can play an all-melee rush composition that aims to dive on top of the enemies and eliminate them quickly. With two tanks, who happen to output a decent amount of damage, to protect the Shadowstrix, it's extremely hard for a team to keep 3 melee characters at range for more than ten seconds. Once these characters are on top of the enemy's ranged units, the curtains are closed.
Not to mention that it's super fun to run in with your friends while screaming like a banshee.
| Class | Role | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Withered Knight | Jump on them! | Super heavy armour, tanky unit with scary gap-closing potential and multiple forms of crowd control. Extremely hard to repel if they get on top of enemies. |
| Mercenary | Jump on them! | Basically the Withered Knight but a bit more damage. A great choice to duo with the Knight and put pressure on the enemy. |
| Shadowstrix | Jump on them! | As the highest-damaging assassin to put the cherry on top of the cake, the Shadowstrix teams up perfectly with two tanks. They can protect and create space for him to land his highly dam |
However, you don't always have to stick to rigid team compositions - I've played in teams with 2 Blackarrows and a Seer and still managed to roll other teams and kill the Mist Lord. Crafting a balanced team will definitely make the game easier for you to learn as a newbie, but class knowledge and mastery in weird comps will usually beat out a player who is simply filling a role to create the 'best' comp.
Don't expect to lock in one of these team compositions straight away and consistently win; you'll still need to take time honing your skills and brushing up on your mechanics to beat the best of the best.
May the winds be in your favor, hunter.
