Mistfall Hunter: How to Get Gem of the Gods & What it Does

Shine bright, like a diamond!

Updated 3 min read

In Mistfall Hunter, there is a seemingly endless list of loot or valuable items that make their way into your inventory. As a general rule, you should prioritise and safeguard higher-rarity loot, with Holy being the highest possible rarity at the time of writing.

Loot can be used to upgrade your base, forge new weapons, mix potions, and send your Expedition Squad out on higher-levelled missions to seek out rare finds. One of these rare finds that you'll want to get your hands on for later-game base upgrades is the Gem of the Gods.

What is Gem of the Gods?

Gem of the Gods is a Holy Construction Material, the highest rarity of item. With a market value of 50,000 Gyldenblod, you should be jumping for joy if you manage to find one of these coveted gems. Although you shouldn't give in to temptation and sell it straightaway - hold on to it.

After you have prayed and been through enough penitence in the arena, you might find one of these gems - you'll definitely know if you do, as the interaction time is a lot longer than usual.

Furthermore, your character will actually inspect the Holy material in their hands after looting it, with a button appearing on screen to stop the animation - a nice little touch to add to the rare experience.

What is Gem of the Gods Used For?

The Gem of the Gods is definitely not a material that you want to discard or lose in battle, as it's an essential upgrade component for your base and very expensive to buy in the Auction House.

The Goddess Statue increases your Springhorn healing, which is your primary healing resource on the battlefield. To upgrade the Goddess Statue to level 8, you'll need a Gem of the Gods.

Additionally, you'll need 3 Gems of the Gods to upgrade the Warehouse from level 11 to 13, which is essential for holding all your precious loot, especially if you're a dirty loot goblin like me.

Whatever you do, DON'T immediately sell your gem or consume it by other means. It's an incredibly rare Holy material that is highly sought after by skilled players to upgrade their bases in the late game.

How to Get Gem of the Gods

Unfortunately, there's no definite way to obtain a Gem of the Gods. No specific quest, mission, or enemy to defeat. You'll just have to cross your fingers and count your lucky stars that you come across one.

However, there are ways to increase your probability:

  • Hallowgrove Chaos Mode
  • Brandrgarde Cataclysm Mode
  • Treasure Chests
  • Exploration Tasks
  • Auction House

Don't dawdle around with random containers and pieces of basic loot on the ground; high-tail it to heavily contested map objectives before other players nab the loot - or lie in wait to eliminate unsuspecting Gyldhunters and steal their stash.

However, you can also come across Holy items in normal loot containers that don't require any boss battle or tedious task, granted the chances are extremely low. As a general rule, the higher-tier game modes and activities will gift you more exclusive loot and give you a greater possibility of stumbling across a Holy item.

Essentially, keep playing as you normally would and prioritise map objectives that are guaranteed to give you higher-tier loot for the best chance of grabbing yourself a Gem of the Gods.

Gem of the Gods Achievement

Good news! You'll earn a special achievement for extracting a Gem of the Gods - Bright And Brighter! If you're an achievement hunter, you'll want to make sure you throw your gem in your Pip's Pouch to safeguard it just in case you die. The extraction can be via a Smuggler Woodling, a regular Woodling, or Pip's Pouch if you perish in battle.

May the gods bless you with your gem, Gyldhunter.
