Moonlight Peaks: How to Get Happy Mandrake
Happy Mandrake, happy farm!
In Moonlight Peaks, there are numerous different crops that can be grown to sell or use in various recipes, among other things. One such crop is the Mandrake, which has two variants - Happy Mandrake, and Angry Mandrake.
However, it is not exactly obvious what causes the Mandrake Seeds to grow into one of these variants. Often, players will find they harvest Angry Mandrakes, which while still useful, can't be used to make the same recipes as Happy Mandrake. If you're wondering how to get Happy Mandrake in Moonlight Peaks and all recipes each Mandrake is used for, all relevant information has been included in the guide below.
How to get Happy Mandrake & Angry Mandrake in Moonlight Peaks
In Moonlight Peaks, both Happy Mandrake and Angry Mandrake are crops that are grown from Mandrake Seeds - one of the various Magical Seed variants available to purchase from Luna's Seed Stall.
Mandrake Seeds can only be planted during the Autumn season, and they take 6 days to grow, harvesting one produce per use of seeds. You will also need Aquaflux II in order to water the Mandrake Seeds. Sees cost 200 Gold each and produce sells for 280 Gold each.
Now, you may just be wondering why you can never seen to grow a Happy Mandrake, and the solution is surprisingly simple. If you plant your Mandrake too close to one another, they will grow into Angry Mandrakes.
In order to grow Happy Mandrakes, you must simply plant each one at least one square apart from any other crop, on all sides.
Take a look at the screenshot below for reference.
This type of planting will successfully grow Happy Mandrakes. Yet, if they were all lines up right next to one another, they would grow into Angry Mandrakes. You can use this to your advantage to grow a specific variant of Mandrake, depending on the dishes you would like to create. Happy Mandrake is also required for the Museum, so this now you ensure you cross it off your list.
