Moonlight Peaks: Museum Guide - How to Build, Invites, & More

In most cozy simulator games, the museum is a common building to find to house all the bugs and fish you come across. However, in Moonlight Peaks, the museum holds artifacts, crops, and other items all related to the supernatural creatures, deities, and things you do in the game, making it a unique experience to collect all items for the museum and even reap the rewards upon reaching certain museum milestones.

But you do need to access the museum first. This is only done through a particular quest in Moonlight Peaks. If you're wondering how to build the museum, send invites for opening day and more, here's everything you need to know about unlocking the museum in Moonlight Peaks.

How to Unlock the Museum in Moonlight Peaks

To unlock the museum in Moonlight Peaks, you'll first have to wait to do the quests such as "A New Beginning," "Museum in the Making," and "Curating the Museum."

The first quest, "A New Beginning," happens when the Hendersons move into town and you help them out alongside Ridge and Ludo. All you have to do is prepare a Fried Egg to give to Ludo to energize him as he volunteers to help te Henderson Family. Afterwards, bring a housewarming gift to the Henderson family during their move-in party.

Once you've helped the Hendersons move in, you can interact more with the different family members, especially Jada. She then tells you in the quest, "Museum in the Making," about how she wants to start a museum.

Jada will then ask you to bring four artifacts from the different supernatural families. The only way to get them is by also doing tasks for each representative of the families:

• Count Orlock - Bottle of Red Wine
• Fiona - Nightshade
• Saga - 3 Wolfsbane
• Dragan - Win against him in a game of Nokturna

Once you've completed getting all four artifacts for Jada's scooter exhibition, you can attend the exhibition in town and eventually gain access to the Museum in the next quest, "Curating the Museum."

How to Build the Museum in Moonlight Peaks

To "build the museum," the building itself already exists in Moonlight Peaks. It's in the upper left area from the Town Hall or to the right of the path before heading to Luna's Seed Shop. To build and fully get the museum up and running, you need to help Jada clean up the museum to prepare for the opening as part of the main quest "Curating the Museum."

Here, Jada will have you visit the museum that's still rundown. You'll clean up the Museum Park with your Scythe, decorate it a bit, and tell Jada you've finished decorating. Once you've done that, you can then send out the invites for opening day.

How to Send the Museum Invites

After you help Jada prepare for the museum, opening day will be coming soon. Jada will ask you to send 5 invites for you to choose from all the Moonlight Peaks residents. At first, you'll notice that the NPCs are too busy or don't want to go to the museum opening except for Saga and Mina. As you try giving the rest of the invites, you'll notice that no one else in Moonlight Peaks will accept any of your 3 remaining invites.

Go to bed the next day, and Jada will ask you how the invite-sending is going. She'll become sad that no one else besides Saga and Mina wants to attend the museum opening. This is part of the story, so you don't have to worry about giving out all 5 invites.

Despite the sadness Jada expressed, the museum opening still pushes through. As you attend, you'll notice that Orlock has joined the opening and there's a huge line filled with all the residents of Moonlight Peaks waiting to get inside, making Jada's museum opening a surprisingly huge success.

After you've unlocked the museum and have gone through the opening, you can then check the small purple signages with exclamation points on your museum progress. You'll discover that different rooms house a variety of items, such as crops and supernatural artifacts. You can enter each room and see that they're carefully curated for each type of artifact and item.

Where to Find Museum Items?

Museum items are scattered throughout nearly every activity you do in Moonlight Peaks. The most obvious one you'll see right off the bat would be the critters. There are flying bugs and insects crawling around that you can catch when you acquire the bug-catching net from Death. Some critters are constant all year round, while others only appear in the changing of the seasons, so be sure to catch everything you come across before each season ends

Another place you can find museum items is through fishing; you can catch fish all over Moonlight Peaks. There are even some rare types that only appear during the rain and some large ones only when you've fully upgraded your Fishing Rod. On a similar note, when you've acquired the Mermaid Tail in Moonlight Peaks, you can go diving in some hotspots in the water to also acquire resources and eventually some museum items.

Aside from that, dig around using your shovels. Besides finding resources within the spirals you dig up, sometimes you'll find artifacts and items that belong to the Supernatural Exhibit, especially. Don't leave a digging spot unturned.

Then, we have growing crops. A lot of the farming exhibit only comes from the crops you grow. And you can't just donate ordinary crops. The museum in Moonlight Peaks requires you to donate crops that are of the two-star quality.

How to Donate Items to the Museum

To donate items to the museum, you first have to determine whether the object you plan to donate is actually donate-able. In Moonlight Peaks, you can open your inventory and check if you have any items that you can donate to the museum. This will be indicated by a small museum icon on the upper right of each item that's eligible to be donated.

After checking your items and bringing them over to the museum, you'll then have to navigate to the specific rooms where your donations will fit. For example, if you have crop items like two-starred Blood Grapes, they'd go in the Farming Room, while fish you've caught will go into the Aquarium Room.

Once you go into the respective item donation room, just walk to the small signage with the exclamation point and open it up. You'll be able to donate your items through here by selecting the items that show up as possible to donate to the museum. When you've done that, you've finally learned how to donate items to the museum.

Museum Progress Rewards

While completing the museum doesn't seem to be a priority, you should know that there are actual rewards to donating. Every 5 to 10% of your donations will give you milestone rewards of items, blueprints, and other special unlocks that will help you progress a lot more in Moonlight Peaks.
