What Does Pure Quartz Look Like?

Most players probably expect Quartz to stick out reasonably well, similar to Minecraft's Quartz, but that's not the case in Palworld. It's handy to know what you're actually looking for, as I guarantee you've probably gone past countless Pure Quartz nodes already.

The image above pictures Iron Ore on the left-hand side with Pure Quartz to the right...not much of a difference, is there? One main distinction between the two minerals is the colour. Iron has an orange tint, whereas Pure Quartz features a white colour, almost like it's been rolled in the snow. To find Pure Quartz, look for relatively large, pointy black rocks sticking out amongst a sea of white snow.

Best Farming Locations for Pure Quartz

Here are three locations that provide a plentiful Pure Quartz supply, with one being targeted towards lower-levelled players and the following two to accommodate more seasoned explorers.

The first location is closer to the starting spawn area and features a safer environment with lower-level threats, perfect for acquiring some easy Pure Quartz without having to risk your life in ominous icy mountains. Marked with an apple on the image above, head to coordinates 290, -107 to find this highly valuable Pure Quartz Farming spot.

Here is what the area looks like; it's especially good for adventurers who are still sprouting their wings, as other ores also spawn in the vicinity, including Iron Ore, which is always in high demand.

This is also a perfect flat open space to construct an additional base and have lots of mining Pals farm Pure Quartz for you. Situated between beginner areas and dangerous expert-level areas, this location really is a perfect base camp to increase your power before traversing the mountains.

Introducing the Astral Mountains, a northern territory that features a plethora of truly eye-catching Pals and breathtaking scenery. But you'll need to be at level 50 to even stand a chance against the juiced-up bosses, and even basic roaming Pals.

This icy area really feels like you've unlocked a whole new class of Pals; each of them exudes such a legendary aura that instantly piques your interest to investigate ... before getting blasted to a pulp.

In the above image, the two best Pure Quartz farming locations are marked with Apple Icons: -215, 253 and -259, 394.

As you can see, it's Pure Quartz central - you'll truly never run out of the precious metal. Similar to the lower-level location we discussed earlier, you could also consider setting up an additional base here to task mining Pals with recovering your materials for you.

It's incredibly important to remember that after obtaining your first 100 units of Pure Quartz, you should invest in a Pure Quartz Mine in your base to guarantee a steady supply while ensuring that you don't have to waste your time mining all day until the sun goes down.

The Pure Quartz Mine is unlocked in the technology tree upon hitting level 50; unlocking it will set you back 5 Ancient Technology Points. At the same time, the crafting requirements aren't as precious, just more time-consuming: 70 Stone, 100 Pure Quartz, and 30 Paldium Fragments.

Constructing a Mine is sure to alleviate the demand and stress of having to hunt down Pure Quartz; it's definitely the smartest way to spend your first hoard.
