Palworld 1.0: How to Get Selyne (Location, Breeding Guide, Stats, Work, & More)
The moon who falls to the Palpagos Islands.
In Palworld 1.0, there are over 200 different Pals to discover and collect, with some being rarer than others. Factors that play into this include how large a Pal's habitat is, rarity or lack of spawn points, and specific mechanics which must be triggered for some Pals to spawn.
Selyne is one such Pal, making the moon goddess-like creature a tricky one for players to track down for their Paldeck. If you're wondering where to find Selyne in Palworld, all possible breeding combinations, the work compatibility, and stats of this Pal, then all relevant information has been included in the guide below.
Palworld 1.0 - How to Find Selyne in the Wild
In Palworld, there is certain criteria that must be met in order for a Selyne to spawn. Specifically, in the main Palpagos Islands map, this Pal only has a chance to spawn across Feybreak island when a Meteor Drop lands.
There is no guarantee that Selyne will spawn with ever Meteor Drop, either. For the best chance of finding one, you'll need to keep an eye on your map and track where any Meteors land throughout Feybreak, then go and examine each one. If you're really struggling with taking the time to find Selyne, though, the good news is that you can significantly increase the Meteor Drop rate in your world settings to increase the odds.
Selyne has a chance of spawning by a Meteor when it lands no matter if it is daytime or nighttime, so you can simply continue making the rounds until you stumble upon this gorgeous moon-like Pal.
Alternatively, the Paldeck also lists Selyne as available in the World Tree. It seems the pals has a habitat it can spawn in, just as any other. Once again, Selyne is available during both daytime and nighttime, however, upon exploring the World Tree, I did personally have trouble pinpointing the location or stumbling upon a single Selyne in sight - and that throughout the whole marked habitat.
Either it may be tucked away in a hidden spot that is easy to miss, or it may simply be a rare spawn. I found it much, much easier to use the Meteor Drop method in Feybreak, so do keep this in mind.
Regardless, here is the listed Selyne habitat for your World Tree hunting purposes:

Can You Breed Selyne in Palworld 1.0?
Unfortunately, you can only breed Selyne with other Selyne in Palworld. While this may be handy for breeding for a Selyne with certain stats or skills, it does not help you to acquire the Pal for the first time.

Selyne Work Suitability
In Palworld, Selyne has the compatibility for three different work types - Handiwork, Medicine Production, and Transporting.
Selyne has a level 7 Handiwork, which makes it one of the best Pals for helping to mass produce items such as Pal Spheres and ammunition, as well as build various facilities around your base.
It also has a valuable level 6 Medicine Production skill, which makes Selyne handy to keep around. Especially if you have a Medicine Rack set up, as while Selyne's Transportation skill is a bit lower at level 3, this does mean it will be able to create valuable medicinal items, and transport them to the Medicine Rack for Pals to help themselves to whenever they are sick or injured. Essentially, Selyne can help you ensure you always have a healthy stock of these items while you're out and about around the Palpagos Islands.
How to Unlock & Use Selyne as a Pal Mount
The item needed to use Selyne as a flying mount is called the Selyne Saddle. To unlock this item, players must have at least reached level 53 or higher. It can be purchased from the Technology Menu for 4 Technology Points.
To craft the Selyne Saddle, players will need to gather four different resources - Leather, Paldium Fragments, Plasteel, and Meteorite Fragments.
Leather and Paldium Fragments are quite easy to obtain, even for early game platyers. Meteorite Fragments and Plasteel are where some players may run into difficulties. Luckily. Meteorite Fragments can be found the same way you hunt Selyne itself - by finding Meteor landing spots! Often, there are 1-4 Meteorite Fragments across each site, so hunt down the spots marked on your map.
Plasteel, on the other hand, can either be crafted in an Electric Furnace or Gigantic Furnace with use of the Crude Oil, Paldium Fragments, and Ore resources. You will need 5 Crude Oil, 5 Paldium Fragments, and 10 Ore to make a Plasteel.
