Big Walk: How to Find the Secret Rave Room (Complete Underground Tunnels Guide)

Dance the night away.

Updated 3 min read

Big Walk has a few secrets for players to uncover, but one that you may have overlooked is the rave room that's squirrelled away inside the central mountain. The natural progression of the game will take you through the towers in this order: Beach, Red, Blue, Green, Yellow.

How to Unlock the Underground Area in Big Walk

Once you have the key from the back of the control panel on top of the Yellow Tower, run it through the key cutting machines, starting with the one by the entrance to the tower. The machines always reveal an arrow pointing you towards the next one after they're done cutting.

You'll be led to the entrance of the yellow tunnel, which is found south of the Yellow Tower at map coordinates 3500, 1630. Put the key in the slot, and a door will open so you can go inside.

Where to Find the Secret Rave Room in Big Walk

Right inside the door, you'll see a directional torch. These will be at the entrance of all tunnels in Big Walk, and you may have also noticed them at the bottom of each tower. If you already have a lantern, they aren't necessary, but they're useful if you exit a tunnel at night.

Follow the yellow tunnel until you reach the first signposted area. You'll see a sign pointing back the way you came that depicts the Yellow Tower, one to the left for the Blue Tower and one to the right for the Red Tower.

Ignore all of them. Turn around, and you'll see a grey staircase to the left and right of you. Head up either of these and follow the route. The grey tunnel leads towards the centre, where the secret room is in Big Walk.

Secret Room Features

Lo' and behold, the seventh radio station! But more importantly, a secret room hidden within the mountain that you and your friends can use to host little dance parties.

By the front wall, there's a control panel with several switches. Each of these adds a lighting effect to the room, including one that lights the circle on the wall up for an expansive red glow. The switch on the far left activates the fog machine.

There are multiple entrances and exits for the rave room, and all routes to the other towers are signposted. If you enjoy a secret tunnel, this feature is very welcome. It cuts down on travel time, too, because you don't need to try and traverse the rough terrain.

You will also have unlocked the purple tunnel in the southern part of the mountain at map coordinates 4280, 1890. The purple tunnel is the only underground tunnel that is not connected to the others, but you can reach it quickly by riding the chairlift down the mountain. It leads to an area with additional content that I'd advise you leave until after you unlock the gate and finish the main game by completing the puzzles in the Black Sphere.
