How to Get the Hallowgrove Woodling Head (Woodlings and the Goddess Hidden Quest)
Would you like a blue tree on your head?
Of course, there are almost always secrets and exclusive items to find in the darkness in most video games, if you look hard enough. However, Mistfall Hunter goes one step further with a hidden quest line in the base camp. The Woodlings and the Goddess quest provides players with an easy opportunity to unlock an exclusive legendary headpiece - the Hallowgrove Woodling Head.
Something to note before you start this quest chain - you'll need to be strong enough to challenge the Brandrgarde map, which is home to stronger and more dangerous threats.
How to Trigger the Hidden Questline
You'll need to do some quick parkour to access this hidden questline. Make your way to the top of the statue in the middle of the camp by climbing on its weapon, arms, shoulders, and finally onto its head.
When you're on top, face your character towards the larger goddess statue at the back of the camp and pay attention to the middle of your screen. You should see a prompt pop up, asking you to interact with the goddess and bow before her.
Now you've officially begun the hidden quest chain! Follow the directions in your quest log: rendezvous with the Scavenger Squad and talk to Soekja until you're asked to retrieve a legendary item from your expeditions.
You can retrieve ANY legendary items to complete this stage of the questline - as long as you successfully extract without dying. Alternatively, after obtaining a legendary item on the battlefield, you can place it straight into your Pip's Pouch - safeguarding it irrespective of your fate in combat.
Find Treasure in Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde
Hallowgrove Treasure Location
To find the first set of hidden treasure, identify the correct mission objective, which should be at the bottom of the map next to the Refugee Camp. The mission icon will be in the shape of a rotated square, distinguishing it from the multiple side missions that can be found across the map.
You'll find the hidden treasure at the bottom of a small pit after descending a ladder. Now it's time to head to Brandrgarde.
Brandrgarde Treasure Location
The second set of hidden treasure can be found in the bottom left corner of the Brandrgarde map, in the northern section of the Prison. As a result of the approaching Gyldenmist, you'll need to make your way over quickly before it's impossible to reach the location.
You'll find the treasure buried on the ground between lots of bodies and pretty dangerous enemies, so watch your step! Afterwards, follow the quest instructions, hand it in, and enjoy your rewards!
How to Get the Hallowgrove Woodling Head
Throughout the questline, you'll receive exclusive legendary rewards, including a construction material and the coveted Hallowgrove Woodling Headpiece upon completion.
Overall, this hidden questline doesn't ask anything too difficult of you. There's no reason not to quickly collect it and complete it naturally alongside your other objectives.
Paying homage to the Woodlings used to extract from the arena, this helmet melds a bell with a white tree and its signature blue glow. It's a great way to show off in front of your enemies and make them question where you even got your bling from.
Watch your footing while climbing the statue - your most dangerous enemy might be closer than you think ... and made out of stone.
