Mistfall Hunter: Class Tier List
Shhhh... I think I can hear footsteps!
Mistfall Hunter is a dark fantasy extraction game that seems to have lots of players in a grinding chokehold. As such, you should probably know which classes are the strongest. Whether you're about to venture out for the first time or you're a seasoned player, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your enemies is paramount to retaining your gear.
Here are the current 6 classes in Mistfall Hunter and a brief description of their role:
- Withered Knight - main tank, good lock-down potential, great damage, and all-around a dangerous threat.
- Mercenary - versatile secondary tank, deals a good amount of damage, and has multiple weapon proficiencies - one of the easiest classes to pick up.
- Sorcerer - ranged spellcaster, very complicated and little margin for error in player combat.
- Blackarrow - ranged attacker, requires precise bow-and-arrow aiming, little margin for error in player combat.
- Shadowstrix - close-range assassin with invulnerability and little survivability, combos can be somewhat complex.
- Seer - ranged supportive class, applies buffs, inflicts crowd control, and excels in healing and shielding her teammates.

Solo PvP Tier List
Since you can brave the darkness either alone or with a trio, some classes are adapted to feature more supportive elements that thrive in a group setting. There are definitely some classes that outshine others depending on the size of your expedition party.

| S Tier | Shadowstrix | Dealing an incredible amount of damage, the Shadowstrix is your assassin class. They are highly mobile, can stalk prey while invisible, and have multiple abilities that implement extra movement. An amazing choice for PvP. |
| S Tier | Withered Knight | As the tankiest class donning heavy armour, the Withered Knight is deadly if they get on top of you. With multiple forms of crowd control, they excel in close-quarter duels. Amazing damage, quick combos, and decent mobility. |
| S Tier | Mercenary | As one of the most basic classes, the Mercenary excels at brainlessly swinging their weapon and dealing a hefty amount of damage. They have gap closing abilities, an array of different weapons to select for different situations, and a parry ability to outplay your opponents. |
| A Tier | Sorcerer | Amazing range and damage with your spells, but very squishy and vulnerable to easy eliminations if you allow enemies to get close to you. This class definitely takes a bit of learning if you want to zone control and kite experienced PvP players. |
| B Tier | Blackarrrow | Requiring precise and accurate aim, Blackarrow is definitely one of the hardest classes to play, especially in PvP when factoring in the many dashes that players have. Their stealth ability allows them to disengage from fights more easily than other classes. You have to be an especially skilled hand to pilot them. |
| C Tier | Seer | As the most supportive class in Mistfall Hunter, lots of the Seer's abilities focus on healing, shielding, and utility - which isn't amazing for solo PvP or PvE. Lacking damage output and mobility, you should steer away from the Seer if you're playing alone. However, Seer does have a subclass which excels in hand-to-hand combat. |
Solo PvE Tier List

| S Tier | Blackarrow | Leading the charge for PvE with consistently high damage from a safe distance - preserving your health bar and allowing for easy mob clears. It's also a lot easier to target enemies that aren't constantly dodging and dashing all the time. |
| S Tier | Withered Knight | As the tankiest class that can heal itself and mitigate lots of damage, this class can juggle boss aggro and still survive. With lots of mobility, crowd control dashes, and easy-to-hit damage, you really can't go wrong. |
| S Tier | Sorcerer | Dishes out insane amounts of AoE damage, but is pretty hard to get the hang of and quite squishy. Still landing in S Tier just because of the crazy capabilities, but definitely not a beginner class. |
| A Tier | Mercenary | As the most versatile class, you can choose how you want to approach PVE battles. Serving as a tank with lots of damage and survivability, they are a great choice for beginners and the easiest to pick up. |
| B Tier | Shadowstrix | Even though Shadowstrix deals crazy amounts of damage, they lack a lot of survivability with a pretty low health bar. If you're an experienced player, you'll likely be able to make them near enough S Tier. But for the average player, Shadowstrix can be incredibly tough to face off against bosses with, despite dispatching weaker enemies pretty swiftly. |
| C Tier | Seer | Lacks meaningful damage and dies way too easily - definitely the worst class to wipe mobs quickly or take on a boss. |

| S Tier | Seer | You might disagree with this ranking, but a fully specced-out healing/shielding Seer will easily turn a fight with good totem placements. Their buffs are incredibly strong, as well as crowd control and debuff-inflicting potential. Extremely potent if they can pocket damage dealers and play behind their tanks. |
| S Tier | Shadowstrix | As easily the highest DPS class in the game, Shadowstrix dishes out a staggering amount of damage extremely quickly. They can utilise invisibility and a crazy amount of dashes to gap close, making them an extremely dangerous threat for any squishy characters. |
| S Tier | Withered Knight | With so many ways to engage in a fight, including a grab that pulls enemies nearer, the Withered Knight can hold the frontline by themselves and easily lock down targets if they aren't kiting well enough. Truly a scary force to be reckoned with. |
| A Tier | Mercenary | An extremely potent frontline pick who excels in lots of different areas, including survivability and mobility. The Mercenary is just GOOD at most things, while not feeling insanely overpowered. They can serve as an amazing frontline pick to make space for your backline. |
| A Tier | Sorcerer | As one of the most complex classes, the Sorcerer is capable of dealing incredible amounts of damage. But unfortunately, they're very squishy, and players can dodge their abilities relatively easily after a small time playing the game. Similar to the Blackarrow, they could be elevated by a skillful player. |
| B Tier | Blackarrow | Blackarrow can be extremely effective with a strong frontline to play behind, but it's simply just too hard to land your shots in comparison to other classes that dish out easy AoE damage. A skilled player might be able to transform them into a S-tier character, but for most players, you're just cannon fodder for a Shadowstrix. |
Trio PvE Tier List

| S Tier | Seer | Once again finding themselves in S Tier for group content is the healing and shielding bot. Health is a scarce resource that PvE drains, right before you need to flip into player combat. The Seer allows you to keep your health pots and mitigates considerable damage in boss fights. |
| S Tier | Withered Knight | An essential pick to take boss aggro off your backline, allowing a Sorcerer or Blackarrow to pump out crazy damage without being harassed by a huge boss that immediately one-shots them. The Withered Knight has the most survivability and is a vital pick for a strong PvE team comp. |
| S Tier | Blackarrow | With some of the most consistently strong DPS in the game, Blackarrow excels amazingly against PvE enemies who are less likely to dodge attacks and weave back and forth. If Blackarrow has a frontline tank, they have so much space to burst down enemies swiftly. |
| S Tier | Sorcerer | With a similar explanation to Blackarrow, the Sorcerer hits all of the same advantages and disadvantages, except they excel primarily in AoE damage rather than single-target. An amazing choice to kill bosses. |
| A Tier | Mercenary | As a secondary tank choice to the Withered Knight, the Mercenary does a decent job of holding boss aggro and you can definitely rely on them to keep you somewhat safe. Just a decent pick all around |
| B Tier | Shadowstrix | Even though Shadowstrix works amazingly well against lower-level mobs, they quickly become quite frail and vulnerable to extensive PvE exploration and in boss fights. While they dish out so much damage, they can't reliably keep themselves safe. Sorcerer and Blackarrow simply fill the role better than the Shadowstrix. |
