Hallowgrove Best Looting Locations in Mistfall Hunter

Mistfall Hunter: Best Hallowgrove Looting Spots

Lucky doos and loots!

Updated 4 min read

Since the Mistfall Hunter maps are pretty huge, it can be somewhat overwhelming to decide where to go and what to do. There are so many enemies, so much loot to grab, and so little time. As such, you should know what events to partake in, which enemies to focus on, and what the best locations are to travel to - here are the Best Looting Spots in Hallowgrove.

Best Hallowgrove Looting Spots

Hallowgrove is home to a vast number of major locations that have a probability of spawning treasure at the start of each game; they are identifiable by larger text highlighted in brown and yellow. Here are all the major locations in Hallowgrove:

  • Supreme Hall
  • Abandoned Market
  • Verdant Grounds
  • Pioneer Gates
  • Refugee Camp
  • Demigod Coast
  • Sunset Fjord
  • Divine Anchor
  • Frostwind Path
  • Gravekeeper's Path
  • Einherjar Ship Grave

These two maps are from back-to-back expeditions, and as you can see, the Treasure locations are varied. Interestingly, some locations seem to have a higher chance of housing more valuable items - most notably, the Pioneer Gates.

For this spawn, grabbing the Exploration Task at the Demigod Coast and heading north through the Sunset Fjord would definitely be the quickest route to grab some worthwhile goods.

Ideally, we would have liked to spawn on the left-hand side of the map, but unfortunately, we haven't paid off the spawn-bearer with enough Gyldenblod ...

The second map has its Treasure Chests relatively spaced out. In this situation, the optimal path would likely be to quickly clear Demigod Coast and proceed through Frostwind Path to grab its loot, in addition to the two Exploration Tasks in the vicinity for four sets of valuable loot.

Head for Treasure Chests

The most reliable method of obtaining treasure that befits a king is by seeking out the Treasure Chest on your mini map. You will be required to defeat either a boss or a variety of special enemies, highlighted with either a golden sigil or a purple sigil, as shown above.

Treasure Chests have the chance to drop some pretty amazing loot. I found the Blazing Sun Chariot, a holy construction material, in the Sunset Fjord chest on Hallowgrove Chaos mode. Remember to throw any extra special loot in your Pip Pouch to safeguard it in case you happen to fall victim to any selfish loot vultures.

Here is another Treasure Chest in Frostwind Path with only two enemies to defeat, which is honestly a really low barrier to entry for valuable loot.

Defeat Random Elites

You'll also find random Elite Enemies that spawn across the map, but aren't marked on the minimap. If you're wondering whether you should ignore these enemies, the answer is no.

After defeating these giants, you'll receive some decent loot from their bodies, in addition to any loot in the surrounding area. From my experience, these monsters are usually guarding some valuable loot, so make sure to check the area.

Hallowgrove Side Missions / Exploration Tasks

Apart from Treasure Chests, Side Missions or Exploration Tasks are definitely the way to go. You'll find tasks on your map labelled with a blue rectangular quest icon. Once you accept the task, you will be asked to complete a mission at a location that's usually not too far away.

Side Missions have the chance to give you extremely rare loot, and are an absolute bargain if you're venturing out alone, as you'll receive three lootable treasure chests or containers all for yourself.

Make sure you pay attention to the purple glittery effect that directs you towards some juicy loot; the containers will also be highlighted through walls to help you out.

Best Path to Take

In Mistfall Hunter, you'll be spawned in a random location on the map to start off with, which significantly impacts the path or direction that you might want to take. As such, you must adapt your game plan according to each map, and not just rely on the same rotation.

As a general rule of thumb, the Divine Anchor is the best place to head towards on your map, simply because it acts as a great connection to all major regions. Depending on the Treasure Chest rotation, you can trek to any location that you like.

The Divine Anchor is also a great place to find other hunters, as players like to hang around the Mist Lord portal waiting for it to open. If you're an experienced fighter, blending player loot with your PvE loot is the optimal way to go, especially if it's later into the game, as you can expect players to have already picked up some valuable loot from around the map.

You should always aim to head towards a Treasure Chest region with a Side Mission in proximity; this strategy will provide you with two sets of valuable loot.

If you're feeling confident, you can head towards an Underlord for exceptional loot - but the fight is often quite difficult, takes a long time, and leaves you open to counterattacks from players.

However, while it's important to clear areas fast and grab the best loot on the map, you have to be extremely careful of other players. I would advise collecting three or maybe four sets of loot before heading towards the nearest extraction point, unless you're extremely confident in your combat abilities.

Good luck with your quest for loot - and remember, don't get too greedy, lest a bloodthirsty hunter steal your goods.
