Updated 2 min read

In Star Wars Zero Company, there comes a choice that will probably have you sweating, thinking if you should press that button and fire on your companions as Trick. Maybe you are past that sequence and now aiming at Trick himself. Or maybe you already went through the experience and are wondering if Trick will be playable again. Well, in this guide we will tell you everything you need to know about Trick's Betrayal and whether he rejoins Zero Company.

If you are a connoisseur of Star Wars and its lore, you will probably be waiting and dreading this moment: Order 66. This mandate is issued by Palpatine and begins the extermination of the Jedi Order by the Clones and new Empire forces.

Note: This guide contains heavy spoilers for the story of Star Wars Zero Company. Continue at your own risk!

Why Does Trick Betray Zero Company?

If you aren't very familiar with Star Wars' lore, Clones were created with a chip on their heads known as a Behavioral Modification Biochip that allows others to control the behavior of hosts with the chip. Palpatine takes advantage of these chips for his own gain, making all Clones with the chip execute the order. In Zero Company, this event occurs in the chapter Tighten the Noose, Critical Mission: Stillwatch. Unfortunately, Trick isn't absent from the chip and executes Order 66, even while struggling.

At first, you will shoot your companions as Trick, then switch back to Hawks and finish the Clones. There is no way out of this situation; you will need to shoot Trick to complete the mission. However, when you defeat Trick, he is incapacitated. Zero Company leaves him in a Bacta Tank in The Den since he falls into a coma, and they figure out how to help him.

Can You Get Trick Back?

Thankfully, Trick will rejoin Zero Company no matter what, since it is tied to a main story mission. In the chapter Back to Business, specifically the mission Deep Cover, you will work with Rex and other Clones who manage to get the chip out of their heads and help do the same for Trick. After completing the mission, Trick will automatically rejoin Zero Company.

That's not all, though. Trick will now be equipped with commando armor and a weapon courtesy of Rex and his friends.
