Big Walk: How to Complete the Yellow Structure Puzzle & The Cube Puzzle

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Updated 3 min read

Big Walk kicks off the game with a smaller section of the open world to explore, enabling players to get familiar with the mechanics and learn how puzzles work. In order to progress to the full map, you will need to complete all four puzzles in the starting grassy/beach zone to retrieve their red buoys as a prize, and the use these buoys to get a key to progress further in the game.

Two of the puzzles you will need to complete are the yellow structure puzzle and the cube puzzle, which are located somewhat close to one another, making them easy to hit in one go. If you're wondering how to clear these two puzzles in Big Walk, all relevant information has been included in the guide below.

How to Complete the Yellow Structure Puzzle in Big Walk

The yellow structure puzzle is perhaps the easiest of these initial four puzzles that you will need to complete - all it takes is a little bit of teamwork! It is located somewhat in front of the initial spawn room tunnel exit, slightly to the right. You won't be able to get a map at this point in the game, but to help give an idea of your surroundings, the exact location of this puzzle has been pointed out in the map screenshot below.

The key factor here, is that much like the way in which you can pick up and carry various objects and tools, you can also pick up your friends and stack them on your shoulders. To put it simply, this is the solution to solving the yellow structure puzzle.

on the top side of the yellow structure, there is a button that you must hit to release the red buoy, therefore solving the puzzle. Stack a friend on your shoulders and have them hit the button, then you're good to go!

Now, you can start to complete the cube puzzle at the same time, as instructed below. However, it is important to note which player picks up the red buoy from this yellow structure puzzle.

How to Complete the Cube Puzzle in Big Walk

Not far from the yellow structure puzzle, there is a large brown lookout point. This is directly related to the cube puzzle, which can easily be solved immediately after completing the yellow structure puzzle. To begin, whichever player has picked up the red buoy from the yellow structure puzzle should be the one to head on up to the lookout point - and take the buoy with you, it will make things quicker and easier later on.

The player who has not taken the buoy will instead need to go and locate the glass cube, which has another buoy inside of it. From the lookout, you can get a direct view of where this cube is located.

To save some time, though, you can look at the map screenshot below and cross-reference with the yellow structure puzzle above. An arrow has been drawn from the lookout marker (marked 1) to the approximate cube location (marked 2).

The player on the lookout now just needs to hit the button, which will light up and open the glass cube. The player standing at the cube can now grab the buoy that is inside, and you can both meet up again at the lookout point.

Now you have two of the four buoys needed to progress past the first zone. If you haven't already, then go ahead and place them both in the compartment at the beach. Now you will only need to complete the blue room puzzle and the green structure puzzle to acquire the remaining two buoys and gain the key that rewards access to the next area.
