Big Walk: Where to Find a Flare Gun (All Flare Gun Locations)

While there are flare launchers stationed around the Big Walk map that you can use to signal to your friends where you are, you may not always be near one. Flare guns can be carried with you or placed on a backpack/belt, which makes it easy for other players to grab one and use it.

If you want to use a flare gun, it needs to be in your hands. Here's everything you need to know aboutwhere to find Flare Launchers and Flare Guns in Big Walk.

Where to Find Flare Launchers in Big Walk

If you need a stationary launcher to help the rest of your party find you, you're in luck. The stationary flare launchers can be found at several prominent locations around the map, including:

• In the middle of the field outside the tutorial area exit, across from the customisation point.
• On the red platform outside the map room.
• At the top of the red tower.
• At the top of the blue tower.
• At the top of the green tower.
• At the top of the yellow tower.
• Just below the red signal tower at the highest point of the mountain.
• On the mountain overlooking the purple music area.

Where to Find All Flare Guns in Big Walk

There are four flare guns that can be found around the mountain. All of them are at the bottom of specific ring-shaped buildings:

1. Red Flare Gun: At the bottom of the yellow ring building near the highest point of the map. Use the chairlift from the green tower and ride towards the yellow tower.
2. • Map coordinates 3730, 1730
3. Green Flare Gun: At the bottom of the brown ring building next to the yellow ring building.
4. • Map coordinates 3630, 1690.
5. Yellow Flare Gun: At the bottom of the purple/pink ring building on the far west of the map, in line with the black tower. Note: The yellow flare has more of a peach tone when fired.
6. • Map coordinates 3450, 1160.
7. Blue Flare Gun: At the bottom of the light green building near the black tower. On the map, it's the building to the northeast of the black tower, it has an additional platform so it won't have a ring shape like the others when you're looking at the map.
8. • Map coordinates 3400, 1740

All of these ring-shaped structures can be located on your in-game map. You need to get to the top of the ring structures and drop down into the hole to get the flare gun. There's a path that leads back outside in each structure.

How to Use a Flare Gun in Big Walk

The most obvious way to use a flare gun in Big Walk is to point it straight up into the air and fire. It'll reset after 20 seconds so you can shoot off more flares if you're lost and need a friend to find you. But, you can also use flare guns to:

• Light up a path in the dark by shooting the flare into the sky or along the path you're walking.
• Highlight a point in the distance by shooting a flare in that direction.
• Brighten up the tunnels if you forgot to pick up a lantern or torch.
• Signal that you have completed a task during a puzzle. I recommend a flare gun for the green platform headphone puzzle. You will not need a flare for the green flare puzzle because it has its own launcher.

You can also just mess around with them. Try shooting them in the same direction to combine the colours for fun!

Remember that you cannot remove a flare gun from your own bag, so always have the flare in your hands before you adventure off on your own or be with another player that has one on their backpack/belt.
