Mistfall Hunter: How to Upgrade the Watchtower Landmark & Get Star Silver
There's always a secret currency.
After finishing the initial missions in Mistfall Hunter, you'll be tasked with upgrading various areas of your camp, like the Warehouse and the Shop. But not all of the camp sections are immediately ripe for upgrading - I'm sure I'm not the only one who found the most expensive and grindy building upgrade first: the Watchtower.
The Watchtower's upgrade requirements can be quite confusing, with multiple unique resources that you may not have seen before and a lack of signposting on the game's part. Here's how to obtain Starsilver Spindle to upgrade your Watchtower.
How to Find the Watchtower Landmark
You'll find the Watchtower adjacent to your expedition rowboat that ferries you out on your missions; it's next to the weapon forger and the shop vendor, on an outcropping of land touching the water's edge. Looking somewhat unmemorable, the Watchtower will appear as a pile of rocks before you upgrade it.
After interacting with the Watchtower, you'll be greeted with a VERY inviting screen which lays out the exclusive legendary rewards on offer for restoring the landmark's greatness:
- Stardust - Escape (Legendary Emote)
- Stardust - Taunt (Legendary Emote)
- Stardust - Joy (Legendary Emote)
- Stardust - Flex (Legendary Emote)
- Stardust - Grimace (Legendary Emote)
- Stardust - Puzzled (Legendary Emote)
- Avatar Frame: Mysticism (Legendary Avatar Frame)
These goodies are enough to make any adventurer curious. For just 1 Starsilver Spindle, you can claim this huge bag of loot - sounds pretty easy, right? Well, not exactly.
How to Get Starsilver Spindle
Players have been confused about the whereabouts of Starsilver Spindle ever since Mistfall Hunter's release, and that's primarily because you can't obtain it on normal exploration missions like most other valuable items and currency. Instead, you'll need to visit the Goddess Statue at the back of the camp and open the Curio Shop to find Starsilver Spindle available to purchase for 7,200 Star Silver.
How to Get Star Silver
In the same interaction menu with the Goddess Statue, you'll find an option to Refine Star Silver. You'll usually open this menu to great disappointment upon seeing that you have a grand total of zero Star Silver, but don't worry! You'll need to convert Moonlight Nectar to Star Silver by utilizing a probability system; the more Moonlight Nectar offered up at once, the higher the chance of refining more Star Silver.
Just a heads up - it's a pretty cool animation. I wish Mistfall Hunter implemented this kind of cinematic more often.
Instead of using all your nectar in singular batches, you'll want to stockpile until you have enough for the Large Raw Ore option, which unlocks the possibility of acquiring 3,000 Star Silver in one go, as opposed to burning all your nectar on the lesser conversion options harboring a smaller jackpot amount.
However, the larger option is also a hell of a lot riskier, as you can throw away all your nectar for a very small amount if you're unlucky, whereas the Medium and Small Raw Ore options provide you with multiple spins of the probability wheel.
How to Get Moonlight Nectar
Moonlight Nectar can be gathered in a variety of ways, with missions as the most natural method; you can identify which missions grant you Moonlight Nectar in the Journey Overview tab.
You can also purchase Moonlight Nectar in the shop for 200 Soul Coins a piece, but Soul Coins definitely aren't plentiful, so be mindful not to spend too many. Soul Coins can be collected through gifts in the mail, season missions, and the Slumbering Contract battle pass.
Speaking of the Slumbering Contract battle pass, you can also purchase a handful of Moonlight Nectar with the currency gained from completing its missions. You can unlock more page rewards by spending a specific amount of currency on the previous page.
Grabbing yourself Moonlight Nectar and Star Silver is definitely a grind; don't expect to accumulate it quickly. The Watchtower rewards are designed to be acquired a little later in the game.
The legendary emotes are definitely worth the grind, if only to bad-manner your opponents on the battlefield.
