Mortal Shell 2: How to Get the Axatana
Find out how to get the Axatana weapon in Mortal Shell 2.
The Axatana is one of the coolest weapons you can wield in Mortal Shell 2. Light attacks use the dual-blade katanas to swiftly swipe at enemies, but heavy attacks fuse them together to make a two-handed axe.
If you like fast attacking blades, but you also don't mind a slow but powerful weapon, the Axatana is the perfect choice for you. It's not super easy to get unless you know the right way there, so here's how to find the Axatana in Mortal Shell 2.
Where to get the Axatana in Mortal Shell 2
The Axatana is located in the southern region of Mammon on this small island with a tower that is only accessible by using a teleport gate.
While there's more than one gate to transport you there, the way I got to this island was by using the gate south of the Axatana, which you arrive at by traveling south from the Outskirts of Mammon Beacon, then crossing the bridge onto the snowy area in the southeastern corner of the map.
Once you arrive on the island, circle the tower blocked by iron gates until you find a button on the wall. Hit this button, and one of the gates will drop. Inside this small room is an enemy wielding two katanas like the Axatana it's guarding behind it. Be careful of this enemy's strikes, as they are swift and can lead to death if you're not careful.
After you take down this enemy, interact with the Axatana sitting on the shelf, and you've now acquired the weapon! If you're used to the Axe & Dagger but want something a little different, this is the best weapon to swap to. Remember to change your Tarstone loadout when you switch to this weapon, as it requires Tarstones that only work with the Axatana.
