Mortal Shell 2: How To Get The Baghead Ending
Here's how to get the Baghead ending.
In a lot of Souls games, you tend to have a good ending, a bad ending, and a downright evil ending. That's the winning formula, but not all games in the genre opt for this. Some even dare to just have one ending. Ridiculous, I know.
Mortal Shell 2 is technically one of those games. However, it does have a ending sequence that won't pop the 'complete the game' achievement. But will roll credits and grant you a unique achievement linked to the enigmatic Baghead. Here's how to make this happen and trigger this silly alternative ending.
Where Is Baghead?
Baghead is located in a little island just north of the Outskirts of Nochte. From this beacon, if you head towards the blood sacrifice ritual where you obtain Proxima's shell, you'll come to a portal allowing you to leap across to a desolate little floating island in the distance.
Here, you will find the Illusionists Cache dungeon, as well as a gang of followers all sitting alongside a man occupying a throne. This is Baghead.
How To Trigger The Baghead Ending
After encountering Baghead, all you need to do first of all is exhaust his dialogue options. At which point he will ask you to sit down with his followers for a while. Do so, then get up and talk to them again.
At this point, they will then ask you to go in search of something they truly need to prove your worth. Exhaust their dialogue again to agree to this task, and then head away from the island for a while. You can even do the nearby dungeon, come back, and that should be enough.
At this point, they will ask you what you have brought back, and will ask if you really brought nothing. At every point in this conversation, say that you are offering him nothing.
If you do this, they will accept you as someone who understands the art of doing nothing. So much so that they will give up their throne and allow you to assume the role of Baghead. Which leads to one of the most surreal end cutscenes you can imagine.
All the enemies of the world gathering on your island to hear you rip some sweet lute riffs, and roll credits.
At this point, the achievement will pop, and you'll be transported back to your last Beacon. But don't worry, you won't lose any progress made.
