Mortal Shell 2: How To Get The Crypt Key
Find the Crypt Key in this helpful guide!
As you explore the area beyond the Mushroom Village in Mortal Shell 2, you'll eventually come across a locked Crypt in need of a key. However, unlike the Chapel Key, which can be found very close to its keyhole, you'll need to travel quite some distance to get your hands on the Crypt Key.
However, if you're desperate to get inside and see what's there to be plundered, we have the location, and we are more than happy to show you the way.
Where Is The Crypt?
The Crypt is located in the northern region of the map, east of the Blackridge Pass, and north of the Mushroom Village. When opened up, you'll have access to the Hall of Echoes dungeon, which is shown on the map above.
Where Is The Crypt Key?
You would think that the Crypt Key would be nearby, but it's actually a fair trek away in a remote location. You'll want to head south of the Citadel and below the broken bridge, facing out towards the outskirts of Nochte.
Here you'll find a launch portal that will send you flying over to the Desolate Island. The area where you'll find the Bagman. As well as the dungeon, the Illusionists Cache.
The key itself can be a little easy to miss, but if you head into the building where the dungeon's entrance is. Behind the entrance, you'll find a glowing item which just so happens to be the Crypt Key.
What's Inside The Crypt?
To tell you the truth, the rewards for opening the Crypt are just barely worthwhile. You'll find a Sheephead Totem in the final room, along with some Dorsalite and a Winterglass Gem in the chest.
All items are welcome early in the game, but for most, by the time you get the Crypt Key, they won't move the needle at all. So, if you've been hung up on the Crypt for a while, don't make a beeline for it.
